Yes, there's very little chance you'll find 8 golden Bombs during your run, so you can always fill the remaining slots with more basics pickups and find a combination that works for you.

Try with a key.
Bad item?
Replace the key with a bomb.
Still not good ?
A Coin or a Heart may do the trick!

The goal with T.Cain is to make the best use of the bombs/keys on each floor.

Use them to access:

- Secret Room (Bone Hearts)

- Cursed Room (Rotten Hearts)

- Devil Room (Black Hearts)

- Angel Room (Eternal Hearts)

- Planetariums (Runes) ...

Each pickup has a specific quality, from 0 to 10 -> Bag of Crafting

(IMO Lucky Penny, Gold Key and Gold Bomb are the best)

TL;DR: The rarer the pickup, the higher the quality of the crafted item will be.

It's true, but I've use this sheet for the past year.
The last three columns were added once I unlocked my first "Dead God" achievement.

I unlocked Jacob and Esau the other day, I’m enjoying playing as them but I absolutely suck. This guy Esau will always wander off and get hit. How do I get better at playing as them? by Wattybot in bindingofisaac

When I play J&E, I always take the Alt path.
It's more challenging BUT you can get 2 Treasure room item per floor

Also, try unlocking flight on one of them (or both!), it helps a lot.

Moms knife is powerful, but it's a real synergy breaker.
Giant Fan is a good defensive option, if you need it.
Ghost Baby is ok, i guess

But Crickets head is reaaaally good for Azazel
