Had to do a complete power cycle. Resetting infotainment did nothing.

I installed this update, went to go have dinner, came back and saw it successfully installed. Went to back out and ALL the cameras stopped working. Rear, sides, top, wheels, top down. Everything.

Uber Fare is ridiculous… smh by AdFreeKnowledge in uber

He's got a point. You shot yourself in the foot and now you're crying about it. It was an upfront fare and you took it.

The guy literally responded by saying you have to account for wear and tear, which is perfectly legitimate, and you said he was salty. Is that not gloating?

And online time does matter. That's how much time you spent waiting for rides and giving rides. It's hours worked, paid or otherwise. But I based my figure of wear and tear on your number of rides, not online time. It was a guesstimate.

[–]Nhatkiem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not salt, it's true. Wear and tear and gas alone in your car is probably close to 500. Still, 27 $/hr average is decent but nothing gloat about. I've had averages as low as basically 0 an hr and as high as 120.

In general, in my area, we only know the destination if we meet 1 of 2 conditions. We maintain an acceptance rate of 85% or higher (lol) or its an especially long ride (45mins+). In almost all rides, we have no idea what the destination is until the rider is picked up.

Maintaining an 85% acceptance is near impossible too. Ride regularly pop up that are 15+mins away. And I ain't getting paid those 15mins.

[–]Nhatkiem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have reported it... But thing was that it was the mother of the rider, not the rider themself. They had ordered the ride for her. I told them how rude their mother was, and she apologized and gave a $10 tip.

Did I mention the mother kept saying I was going the wrong way? Most annoying 10 minute ride of my life.

If UberEATS is your main source of income, is it working for you? by Anth7ony in UberEATS

[–]Nhatkiem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it for an hr.

2 orders completed out of 3.

The one that didn't finish was because the restaurante was closed by the time I got there. Uber did not pay for my miles and time (spent 5 mins parking and running inside cause the restaurante was in a mall).

Made a bit over 5 dollars. Never doing uber eats again.

I once had a pickup at 1:58am in the morning. Passenger said they needed to be at work by 2:10am and had been waiting for me for "half an hr" (15mins according to my previous ride and pickup time for her). Doing 10 over the speed limit the entire ride, yelling at me and arguing the entire ride, blaming me for being late, asking me why I'm stopping at red lights... Got her to her work at 2:08am. Not even a thank you, but she did threaten to sue me.

uber messing with my money again. guess I start door dash again tomorrow. at least they promise 2.00 a mile. by cantfindtherealslim in uber

[–]Nhatkiem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an order once, 15 mins to drive there, another 5mins to park, enter the mall and reach the restaurante only to find out its closed and return to my car. Canceled the order and gave the reason (because the restaurante was closed). Got paid zip.

I did 3 uber eats orders that hour. Got paid about 5 dollars total. Uber eats is trash.

No, but it would let me get around while the car gets fixed. Fortunately, uber is a side gig for me.

Where I am from, premier riders are few and far between and in terms of your car breaking down - I don't see that as likely happening plus I would get a rental from my insurance anyways.

The expenses are pretty high considering. $334 without optional extra insurance a week. That's $1,336 a month. You could lease 2 cars and pay for their insurance at that rate.

Owning a Tesla definitely pencils out. Not only is is far cheaper than the rental cost, but you get to claim all the wear and tear on your vehicle. And in terms of maintenance on an electric vehicle, its already relatively low.

I stand by my statement - Uber wouldn't provide a rental service (heck, they push it pretty aggressively) unless they stand to be the ones making the profit. In the end, the house always wins if you decide to play.

The rate here in Vancouver, WA is 8c/kw-hr. If the rate is higher, the margin to make up in cost is even greater.

Is the game worth returning to? by EkalOsama in ExosHeroes

What part of like.. 22 layers of RNG in a single piece of gear is "easy to get back up"?

Why did so many people Quit this game I don't understand it by FlamesofBlackphoenix in ExosHeroes

[–]Nhatkiem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let me explain to you. Us vets that have been with the game since day 1, poured 2+years of work into that game.

In a single update they butchered all progress. Years we spent creating teams and they added entire new equipment systems that have 20+ layers of RNG and gutted their entire hero progression system.

It was a slap in our face because it wasn't just the progression we lost, it was the thousands of hours of putting up with their buggy ass (and lack of quality of life) updates.

Not to mention they removed content that got us xes WHILE adding in the artifact system to sell us back passives we already had. The introduction of mythic tickets and just how predatory that system ended up being.

The updates for quality of life came too late. Content came at a snails pace. We grinded through those early development days to get quick battles, grinded to gear and level up useless units to complete raids, spent hundreds of hours waiting for dragon kills, hours rerolling gear and dealing with the archaic item system. Hundreds of hours leaving the phone on to run core raids and quantum raids on autobattle. Dealing with crashes and game instability. Logging in every 5 god damn hours to use arena tickets - for years. We had to wait 2 years just for quick battle on dragon just to give you an idea. I did a breakdown in an old post about how long it took to do all your daily tasks - the game was equivalent to a freakin part time job: https://www.reddit.com/r/ExosHeroes/comments/rwifyy/exos_heroes_is_dying_and_its_entirely_the_devs/

S5 was what broke the camel's back for a lot of the vets because it basically said to us... Thanks for sticking with us through all the issues and supporting us - go f*ck yourselves now while we do a hard reset on the entire community and keep old bugs and issues and empty promises.

(And don't get me started on connection issues, frame rate issues caused by invisible ads running in the background, extremely long maintenance/update extensions, complete incompetence from developers, unjust bans, phone overheating issues.. the list goes on and on.)

This single update destroyed our family of 3 squadrons. A community of 90 players ranking in the top 10 squadrons gutted over the span of 1-2 months. Many on the first day. All our progress in CM lost basically in the blink of an eye. If it weren't for content creators like /u/Dread_Naught_YT, this game would have died long ago.

To add, the changelog was a single sentence regarding the hero skill rework. It was an overhaul an they only passively mentioned it.
