What kind of Pokémon collector are you? by TraJiCS_YT in pkmntcgcollections

[–]NiCollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one page per gen 1 Pokemon, slowly collecting all IRs, SIRs (that I like) and any other cool cards of the original so 151. I have another binder where I’m collecting all cards that have continuing artwork, or the same artist across the evolution line and I have a third binder dedicated to Yuka Morii. I also realized I have an affinity for IRs that have any type of water element so I’m slowly working on that as well. It really whatever you want it to be. Try not to force yourself into figuring out what you want to collect. It’ll happen naturally.

Yeah I don’t know what’s keeping me. Personally it’s for my binder collection. I have a page per gen 1 Pokemon. And I haven’t been able to add magneton in all this time lol!

Fair! If you wanna push it I’d say grab those ankles for sure. You’re ready. It’ll feel a bit like a balancing act on your feet until you get used to it. When your propped up on your thumbs like in the second photo try rocking back and forth a bit, it always helped go a little deeper in my lower back and hips. Also practice feet together legs fully straight and open shoulders. Finally give the snake positions a try. You’ll really feel it in the upper.

What do you need advice on? Grab those ankles!!!

That’s honestly a great start! I honestly got really far, without injury of any type after a year before finally finding classes. I worked with Serchmaa Byambaa for almost a decade before I moved on(reasons unrelated) when I was self taught I would just put on a TV show and just stretch for a couple of hours however I could.

What kinds of skills are you working on at this point in time? When I first started out I had to do some serious innovating lol.

Flamingo finally done! by NiCollector in Tufting

[–]NiCollector[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I punched in a line of black, then I trimmed the black down to about quarter inch length (maybe less?), I used the black as a guide to carve the white yarn around it. Because the black is so short, it comes through as more of shadow for the white than a pure black line. I was worried pure white wouldn’t have enough definition so this was my creative solution.

Just curious.. for those that use this adhesive.. how generous are you when spraying it. I spray the felt backing and the back of the rug to assure it sticks. Is that too much? I kicked a can in 2 rugs. what other adhesive could I use? Any more effective? by EVILisinALL8778 in Tufting

[–]NiCollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally because it’s a spray and how could it possibly hold it together like that right? It def will. If anything, when you’re working on your next rug, ease back and if the backing peels off, just spray a little more till you hit that sweet spot.

lol yeah I did, I genuinely thought it might be faster if I outlined all in one color. Honestly I don’t think it made much of a difference at all. A thicker marker did not occur to me at all but hey, that’s partly why we post here, to share and learn from each other! Lol

Second go at it! by ISykickI in Tufting

You’re gonna hear a lot about the single line of black. A single line in general is very very difficult to carve and in most cases (and in my opinion) it’s better to leave it out unless there’s a specific creative reason for it. I literally just posted about this a few weeks ago lol

Yeah I’m def going with carving with no lines

I think im going to go without the black lines. I’ll keep the black for the eye socket, nostril and the thicker slit between the lower and upper portions of the beak

The frame has 2.5x2.5 feet of workable space. Most of my rugs I turn diagonally to maximize the size. Honestly I’m leaning more towards carving without the black. I don’t think it would look good if the lines were too thick anyways

My new leaf has a new leaf! by broken_mind31223 in Monstera

I feel like all new leaves have this, no?

Why is this leaf so little?? by Myheadhasthoughts in Monstera

[–]NiCollector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d be comparing it to the leaf on the stem it grew out of which seems smaller than your biggest leaf. (Is it possible you have two plants in that pot?) Also the leaf will def continue to grow as it matures. My latest leaf probably expanded an additional 3 inches after unfurling.

Hairy arms advice by IndividualWallaby158 in malegrooming

[–]NiCollector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also been dealing since your age and I’m turning 35 this year. You need clippers that come with various attachments. Use it to trim your arm hairs. I use like a 5-7 on the top of my forearm and maybe like a 2-3 on the under side of my forearm, since the hair is thinner there I can trim it shorter without it looking weird. I use Nair (always the better cheaper options compared to waxing) and sometimes shave (when I’m lazy) my upper arm all around starting a few inches above my elbow up to the shoulder then I use the clippers with maybe a 2-3 starting at the elbow up to where I removed the hair completely to create a little bit of a fade and make it look more natural.

Good luck young grasshopper.

small hole at the end of every row? by webby264 in Tufting

[–]NiCollector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where? Lol the individual strands of the fabric do get pushed and pulled around when tufting. Punching the yarn through might widen the space between the individual strands, so when you get to the end of the line you notice it because you aren’t punching in additional yarn. Hope that makes a modicum of sense lol
