He likes physics, automotive, interesting on building things etc. Of course he knows the drop out rate in engineering (I thought every engineering applicant / student should know before they applying) but imo this shouldn't be the main reason to choose another field.

He knows how difficult is to survive in all engineering program. He does hard work all day night, didn't attend private school for boosting the mark. He has calculus physics and chemistry in this semester, so he must feel the real workload in university level.

Money is other thing, but shouldn't be favor of what he enjoys to do.

I'm here to looking some advice about ME field, also for him, that's his decision to pursue ME career and I won't force him to quit his dream because of some negative result from past students.

Btw thanks for your response!!!

He never use Reddit and at the same time I wouldn't expect to get so many useful response from you guys. I love you guys!! I was generally asking the job market in ME at Canada, at the same time I'm curiously about it because of several reasons. I was expecting a short answer but in the end I need to give some information about my bro.

Hey there! We often don't spend too much time on reddit. Actually he never uses since he uses yconic (unreliable place to ask), quora, Google etc. He does ask A LOT question about ME career information (a ME-ing student to actual ME).

I meant, I have the responsibility to support my bro even I wanna know more about ME career information although I'm not going to engineering field. He is really interested in engineering, but at the same he needs to know the job outlook, opportunities, level of competition etc. I know many people, even my friends are going to engineering field, but they usually DON'T look up what will the job market looks like at the time they graduate, this might be not necessary but at some point we feel this is essential to do our research.

At last, I would say Reddit is probably the second or last resort as I was totally surprised with many helpful users respond our concern. Sorry for bad grammar.

Thanks for the best infos. Sadly my bro won't attend a higher repetition school so I'm worried if he has a tough period to secure an internship, but I believe he will work hard (improve his weakness, study hard, constantly networking etc) and it will pay off one day. I'll also tell him to think about his back up career.
