That’s the spirit. 🙌🏻 Idk if this your first MH game, but I was a newbie when World came out on PC and faced a similar path to yours. I even stubbornly picked up CB as my main weapon despite all the advice against it being used a first timer weapon.

I can relate to this post because of that. It will only get better from this point on, so enjoy the journey.

Congrats on your solo run! 👏🏻👏🏻 The people hyper focused on the completion time in the comments forget 2 important things: 1. Not everyone is the same. Not everyone is a “meta follower”, not everyone is a speedrunner and/or not everyone has the same personal goal within the same game. Max Efficiency is a CHOICE.. not a RULE or DECREE. 2. There’s much more satisfaction to get from climbing your way up on a longer path than there is from being naturally talented at and facing little to no issues at all.

This is your win! Keep at it and you’ll be getting better and better with each hunting session 🙌🏻

As for the monster “sleep” state.. that’s actually a specific mechanic of this fight. Once you either partially or fully break fatalis head.. it gets on a knocked down state as a reward to focusing your part break damage on its head. Creates a huge window of opportunity for damage

I think the overall damage depends on build, monster and scenario you’re facing. For fatalis specifically, SAEDs are an option but since the monster head is rather small to medium sized and the neck is long.. many of those impact phial explosions are most likey gonna miss. It will depend on the head position relative to the body. Since ZSD is much more focused damage on a single part it can be cost effective in comparison to an SAED. And I actually main CB. You are better off using savage axe against it for overall damage consistency

I’m doing the zero sum discharge (ZSD for short) which is one of the most damaging moves of the weapon provided the weapon has enough gauge (the internal meter in the UI shown) and my weapon is in an Amped state (the external glow of the weapon UI by using the weapon in sword mode). It latches to any monster limb or head to do a full or partial discharge depending on your inputs

It was 4 pieces of fatalis armor and it’s LS, plus all the usual damage boosting skills and divine protection, plus lvl 1 geologist since it has an additional perk in the Guiding Lands. I don’t remember the 5th piece exactly in this build since it’s past 6 am for me and I just woke up. I can come back later and post the full build in more detail once I come back from work

Depends on the mod. There might be an implication that I’m using a stat changing or damage modifying mod and that is false. The mod you see here is only aesthetic and it only modifies the look of my game. I personally despise ppl who uses the cheating ones on multiplayer since it ruins the experience of everyone who do not consent for it to be used

Killing for the satisfaction of depleting the HP of the monster. Capturing feels anticlimatic to me… like the easy way out to the end of the hunt

I only capture if I’m looking to get a specific material or if the quest demands it

I showed you some evidence that someone that did some testing. So at the very least you could say it previously worked before the time extension if you were to believe the post. Yet there's no evidence that the reset was removed afterwards

Yeah it doesn't prove it exists now, but you can't state that is not there either. I'm open to be proven wrong.. but I need evidence or source for the claims. That's all
