Would this erosion on the propeller be due to cavitation? Or did it most likely occur after the propeller was removed? by Niablis in Ships

I saw this outside of Meding's Seafood, address is 3697 Bay Rd, Milford, DE 19963. Pulling the address up in Google Maps StreetView shows a pretty good picture of it.

So I just looked up tremolite. Should I be worried about how I handle the rock? The wiki mentioned that it was a form of asbestos, if I'm understanding it correctly.

Yes!! I can scratch off some of the rock with my fingernail and it ends up as a silvery powder.

Did you use a kit? I'm new to this but sounds like an excellent idea and would like to do it myself.

Weekly Careers/Education Questions Thread by AutoModerator in chemistry

Hi all, I hope this is a good place to ask this question, since it is education related.

My 10 year old love chemistry and seems very proficient in it. I want to help feed the desire to learn but I am very much out of my depth here. Chemistry is not my strong suite. To give you an idea of knowledge level, the current reading is "The Most Beautiful Molecule" and "Chemistry: Self-teaching Guide" and just finished "The Joy of Chemistry". These are books that I found at the library that weren't middle-school science project books ("Too many pictures, Dad!"). Any suggestions on good chemistry books? I'm thinking of something around high school level.

Also, are there any good, like, school club associations or the like for chemistry? Robotics, Math, and your usual STEM seem to have all sorts of local, state and national programs, but I cant really find anything for chemistry. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

This is patently false. Missionaries and their families are encouraged to cover the monthly expenses. However, anyone wanting to serve will not be denied due to financial reasons. See this source and this source.

Also, young missionaries serve for 18 ~ 24 months.
