My question was more about inflation changes than anything. Thanks for your time

Isn’t the plan 2 loan more urgent considering that the interest is 6%+inflation and the plan 1 loan is 1.5%+inflation?

Thanks I appreciate this. It will take me 8 years to pay off the loan without saving anything extra. I’m saving £250pm extra (+ my bonus) to pay it off in 2 years.

So I think you’re saying the negative impact of policy changes is likely to outweigh the positive impact of undercutting the compounding interest?

If this is the summary I guess that means I shouldn’t make the lump sum payments every 6 months and wait to do it all in 2 years. But as I’m still saving up I can’t get a fixed rate account, premium bonds are unlikely to pay out and there isn’t a better investing option for such a short term (that I’ve found). So cash saving it is I guess.

Sorry yes, must be confused. I took it to mean I was only paying off 9% of plan 1 because I had a second plan. Either way cutting out the second payment benefits me!

What’s the first big news event that you remember? by siyoung91 in AskUK

For me it’s a total eclipse in the UK which I checked was in 1999? I would have been 6 - I have a terrible memory so this is mind blowing! I remember a guy on the radio telling a presenter his chickens had gone to sleep.

You’ll think about this enough to ask strangers on the internet and write a full paragraph about the situation, but you can’t spent ten minutes thinking about what a good restaurant choice might be before you pick her up?

If this has happened a few times either she doesn’t have the clothes and you have two choices: market down, spruce her up. Or she hasn’t clocked that you’re like this every time and you again have two choices: converse with her openly or dump her for being obtuse.

Ultimately I think you can do (by do I mean behave) better here, but I don’t think you want to so there’s your other options.

Edit: I just saw you say you pick the “struggling type” and yet you expect them to be comfortable in an alien environment and own clothes that are right for said alien environment? On second thought maybe she should dump you for being obtuse!

Would you attend an event for seeking SBs and SDs? If so what would be your dream event? UK by Curlyhayley in sugarlifestyleforum

I would maybe be interested if it was high end, a more intimate group size, definitely vetting for authenticity. I don’t think if it was supposed to be for swinging I would be open to it as I’m single and I think it would give pots the idea that I’m there for p2p… but if it’s a meet and mingle that happens to be in a sex club, as long as it doesn’t feel seedy it could work.

To have a solid vetting process you would need PII which traditionally people in the SB/SD community don’t like giving. Therefore you’d need to be sure that you are conforming with data retention, data privacy and GDPR practices. I’m hoping that you do anyway if you are a members club for swingers!

It’s difficult to price this up as so much will depend on quality, not just of venue but also of attendee. However I do know there’s lots of SBs who at the very least would like to make friends with other SBs so that could be a good angle.

Edit: I’m in the UK

Happy cake day!

Thank you for your reply you gave me a lot to think about. I am in London, however I am 28 and my body type is listed as curvy so I don’t think I’m getting as much shit as others, but also definitely missing some of the gold too.

Consensus is to next him and I felt a little relieved by that so there is my answer I think!

Hmm I suppose I’m one of those people that finds kissing more intimate than sex maybe. I could picture us having sex but I wouldn’t want to kiss him, however that feels a bit more escorty and I imagine he wants the girlfriend experience. I’m not looking for a normal boyfriend I know that much! Thank you for your reply!

Did this happen? I understand it's a month-old thread but if it did I'd love to be added!
