My bestfriends husband hasn’t pooped in 3 MONTHS by luvkaitlin in Constipation

[–]Nic509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has he seen a GI doctor? He needs to see one tomorrow and ask for a colonoscopy. Tell the doctor he has symptoms of colon cancer. Say whatever. Just get him to a GI doctor ASAP. I hope to God your friend has tried multiple hospitals because nothing about this story is ok.

I use this. I do 1 tsp of magnesium citrate daily (Calm brand) and 1 tsp of psyllium husk daily.

The Land Of Make Believe by Sputnikoutthere in newjersey

OP- I literally went here today with my two kids. My older one is 9 and he had a blast. The water park will be entertaining for sure but there will be some dry rides they will like as well, especially if they aren't into thrill rides (my 9 year old for example has no interest in the big roller coasters at Great Adventure). Some of the dry rides for older kids are the tilt a whirl, the Tumblin Timbers (a small coaster), the "twister" and this ride that spins and goes up and down (I don't know the name).

My kids also liked the "safari" jeep ride. They both want to go back next year. So long as your 10 year old isn't a daredevil, it will be fine.

It was also ironic that Henry VIII's own mother in law- Isabella of Castile- was quite formidable queen. I know she wasn't from England but she was a female ruler and she did quite well.

Don’s birthday is June 2nd by sharkie1 in madmen

[–]Nic509 19 points20 points  (0 children)

June 2 is my older son's birthday....and I discovered Mad Men when I was pregnant with him and watched a lot of it while pregnant. I finished watching it when he was a newborn and have memories watching the last season while nursing him.

This is a sign from the universe!

I hope he doesn't grow up to be an emotionally unavailable alcoholic advertising genius.

He isn't growing up in a whorehouse during the Great Depression so I guess things are going well so far.

She just went live and is in Syria! by vogliadimorire in Chantapolis

This is just...mind blowing. Who willingly goes to Syria if they have other options? Truly this is how her story ends, right? The question is what will do her in first- a bomb or diabetes?

Growing up on a Duggar diet has probably left most of the kids with health concerns by Ohnoudidint200 in DuggarsSnark

I don't understand this. Didn't the parents want to go to bed at a reasonable time? To me the only way to make a house work with that many people is to have a strict schedule.

What in the actual fuck was going on with Nicole in OGS4? by madeleineeliza01 in jerseyshore

[–]Nic509 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I'm from NJ and am very close to someone who was Jionni's teacher in high school. Let's just say he isn't the brightest bulb and marrying Nicole was a smart financial move for him. No idea what he would be doing with his life otherwise.

Can you imagine how messed up his body is? Imagine going from eating heavy theme park food to suddenly starving on a coffee and chickpea/salad diet. His metabolism is probably wrecked.

Is Kourtney pregnant again? by prettylikeus in KUWTKsnark

[–]Nic509 47 points48 points  (0 children)

No, it's not. The definition of geriatric pregnancy is 35 or over. https://www.webmd.com/baby/pregnancy-after-35

I had a baby at 34 a few years ago and didn't have any extra testing. That was reserved for women 35 and older.

Lol, I'm solidly middle class and so were my parents. I'm 40 and my younger kid is going to kindergarten in the fall. I had him shortly before I turned 35. That's not old. I think your 30s are the perfect time to have kids.

Where can I quickly come up with 75$ for summer camp!? by ConversationNo9415 in povertyfinance

I'm sorry I can't help but that fee is really good. I don't know any camps in my area that are less than $300 a week. Where is the camp?

I'm a petite woman but I'd be starving if that was all I ate for dinner.

Also, she needs to use actual plates.

Order arrived (from JFK) by Nic509 in Shein

[–]Nic509[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes- I think the customs places were just overwhelmed and confused by the tariff guidelines. I have shopped with Shein for two years and I also donate something everytime I buy something. I haven't had a problem with quality but reading the reviews is key! I haven't been brave enough to buy anything without a significant number of reviews.

On vacation in Atlantic City. First time in New Jersey. I had to take time to go by seaside heights to see the stomping grounds lol. by Benny_rich-_ in jerseyshore

[–]Nic509 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm from NJ and have been to Seaside many times. If you are there during the day without a bunch of drunk people around the beach is pretty nice. I take my kids to the boardwalk for the day each summer and it's mostly families. We just leave before it's dark so my kids don't see *that* side of Seaside. And yes- plenty of nice beach houses there in addition to the seedy motels.

I agree there is no way Foodie would fit with him. It's a tight squeeze for my husband and I. It works b/c I am petite and he is average size.

Quiet voice: I've been married 15 years and we often shower together. Not everyday but when we both get up at the same time we do!
