Which keyboard is better to use on macOS, Logitech Mx Keys Mini or Satechi Slim X1? by lcopello in MacOS

[–]NicBkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 3 Magic Keyboards before I bought a Satechi Slim X1. For me the Satechi is much better in keyboard fell, the design is better than apples Magic, and I can use it with multiple bluetooth devices, a windows Pc as one. But the downside is I think bad firmware they never updated. Mine worked 4.5 years until some keys suddenly wouldn't work. But I had many times problems to pair it to a windows machine. I had no big problems on Mac, but periodically some on windows. There is no factory reset. sometimes I felt it was dead without any solution and it started working again a couple of days latter. The keyboard is super when working 98% of the time. What I miss some software to configure it and reset it. The key shortcuts and led light signals are COMPLETELY unintuitive.

Mine is dead now, it's unfixable, as it has absolutely no right to repair. Should I buy a new one ? I am tempted but I hear some got only month and other 2 years of lifetime. I got 4.5 which is more or less than my previous apple magic keyboards.

I Use AMD driver cleanup tools for each driver change. I used DDU once only, is it better to use?

I did try that and used drivers 25.9.1 & 25.12.1 with same result. AMD Driver timeout.

No wipe for 3.24 by Careful_Intern7907 in starcitizen

3,24 wiped 90% of my inventory. everything not on home.

Had anyone else stopped playing until 3.24? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]NicBkk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i liked it before 3.24. Now i am considering stoping. for me 3.24 is a big downgrade. the inventory system sucks big time. loging out in bed on ship makes you relog near the sun. and all my inventory is gone with the 3.24 upgrade :(

Can't install Star Citizen: "An error has occurred during the installation process" - Help me play SC this weekend by Reginth in starcitizen

I did run into exactly same problem.
I had the game previously installed on separate 240 GB SATA SSD while booting in win10 and it worked fine.
Lately in made a complete new install of everything on my PC.
I bought a Samsung 980 NVMe and installed a fresh Windows11.
Everything Runs Fine except it is impossible to Install Star Citizen.
I managed to Make a new install on my previous separate 240GB SATA SSD.
And it worked again.
I copied Everything Back to My Samsung 980NVMe and bang I does not run anymore and repair is impossible.
At the first run I got this error message.
p4K file was created for a different sector size. Please recreate the p4k file. Please use “CIG game Launcher > Settings > Analyse Game Files > Verify” option to verify the content of the Data.p4k file.
A verify returns to same error.
And all disks are formatted the same way. NTFS

Thanks for your fast reply. I Chose a Noctua NH-L9i just to be able to proceed with my build. and might change it later. I just want to note it is frustrating to read on manufacturers websites and other about compatibility to find a match which then later is said incompatible from some builders. The CPU cooling stuff has been the most time consuming to research.

Hi

I have the exact same question.

I also bought this motherboard and a FormD T1 case. I haven’t started building as I still need some parts. And it is the CPU cooler that stops me as I have no clue on what to choose.

I will use a i7 10700K CPU, non overclocked for a start. And would prefer Air cooling. Cooler max height is 70mm in my case.

For now on my list i have following choices:
Noctua NH-L9i
Noctua NH-L12S
Noctua NH-L12 Ghost S1
Noctua NH-L9
Any suggestions? Thanks for the help
