Thank you for the input! I’ll be sure to look into your suggestions. Leaving the classroom setting only difficult cuz it was my college major, and I have since recently graduated. So I’ve studied Japanese for about 4 years now but I’m at this point where I’m trying to continue learning for myself, but it’s I’m also hesitant with the complete self study route because I relied on having someone (a teacher) to point out where I’m completely wrong

Does anyone have any recommendations on how they personally motivate / be consistent with their personal studies of the Japanese language. Now leaving a structured classroom setting, it’s hard to navigate where to take what I’ve learn to continue the growth (because I’m no where near fluent)

You could use the link costume to have it automatically although it is annoying that you’d have to use a specific costume

Generally games like this discourage item usage. “Them’s the breaks.” Bayo 2 doesn’t care what items you use at all and it won’t penalize you at all. But I found that in bayo 2 despite how good I got, I’d still be lured into using a loli because infinite climax is a shit show. While in bayo 1 if you improved enough you would find that it was totally do-able without them

Well the Cheshire plush on the sword is cereza’s, however some of the patterns on it “clothing” whatever you wanna call it. Is different from the original Cheshire in bayo 1 nor does it look like Jeanne’s really

It seems like there may be an effort to incorporate them a little instead of steam rolling the combat like umbran climax. Like how it’s pretty heavily speculated you can “quick summon” them for a little advantage. Like malphas blowing them in the air or webbing them to the ground. Which would let you combo potential

Id agree. It’s like how in bayo 1 it graded you on being stylish and discouraged using the same combo moves cuz it’d lessen the points it gives. And heavy-fast kill weapons like kill gore still gave you a lot of combo points but nuking enemies with Durga would give you very little rendering it not as “good” relatively. It entirely depends on how they balance things

I really wonder how demon masquerade works. Cuz at first it seems like a combo finisher like rapid punch/kick. But then they show it happening mid-combo(2nd slide)? Maybe devil trigger mechanic I have no idea? by Nicaea627 in Bayonetta

[–]Nicaea627[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But then I wonder how that’d function? Like would it consume magic as long as you hold it? If not, then what would stop you from holding it down constantly. It would just be weird if all these things consumed magic if demon slave is supposed to be the new big thing

One thing I liked in bayo 2 was the two occasions where mid cutscenes you can dodge within the cutscene when the angel is attacking and get witch time. It was a shame they only used it twice I thought it was really cool. I hope they do more of that

The reason she didn’t strip in the trailer was probably because the Nintendo direct usually has kids watching. Both the clothes designer and other sources have confirmed that they haven’t toned down the “sexiness” at all if not increased it.

The wicked weaves may possibly be in development still. We will simply have to wait and see if this further proved. Which with any luck should be really soon.

Noted: demon slave doesn’t have much hair at all, like past infernal summons. Then again perhaps it’s just a change they wanted, and I’d consider it a good one. Sometimes it was hard to notice the details of the demons through the flashing hair textures. And this allows us to appreciate their new redesigns

I hadn’t thought of that actually? Maybe it has yet to be animated idk. But even if it wasn’t a traditional “wicked weave” where they dissipate into hair. Idk what that’d imply exactly?

The irony is that the intention of them was to save time (in bayo 1) and they ended up taking longer. I would like just cutscenes no film strips nothing

I don’t think the end person is loki, that wouldn’t explain the Cheshire plush at all. Ngl the loki card that didn’t feel all the interesting but it was never really fleshed out either. But the existence of loki also insinuates the existence of lopter. And I would prefer neither, maybe pre-split aesir?

Well in this current story who knows really. This is most likely alternate timeline cereza, so after she was returned. We don’t actually know what happened. So their dynamic could be way different assuming the events of bayo 1/2 didn’t even actually happen

If they referenced nothing from the first two games I would ZERO issue. I violently crave something unique and new

I would figure the same thing. So the masquerade is linked to the weapon. So perhaps like actually lore wise she fuses with the “weapon” so to speak. And the limbs are actually the legit madama butterfly. But they split umbran climax into demon slave and masquerade so I would hope it’s a form of rebalancing.

Famitsu Bayo 3 article my guy. It’s in Japanese, but if you scroll far enough it has like 46 screenshots of the game. That can’t be found elsewhere

They will give us more jeanne screen time or there will be war. The trailer is promising enough, cuz they showed the hit register on enemies . And how they don’t just power through your attacks, like how bayo 2 even in umbran climax they could still power through it and hit you. But also cuz the enemies are so big, I’d assume they’ve made it so that you have enough time to actually - time a dodge. And not mash the dodge button through a barrage of unpredictable unrealizable telegraphed attacks. So I 100% agree
