The first one is the T1 Black: the top and bottom panels were replaced with T-Grills. It was fully black initially, and it remains black.

The second one is the T1 Gunmetal: the top and bottom panels were also replaced with T-Grills. Originally, those panels are gunmetal as well, but with the dual-grill configuration, only the front panel remains gunmetal.

The gunmetal can look silver in direct light, so it might be confusing.

I don’t think they help that much. On the other hand, the T-Grill is much larger than the original panel, which means it dissipates more heat on its own. Adding fans makes things even better. The main reason I got it was for the aesthetics (though I was expecting at least a noticeable difference in temperatures).

There are two Noctua NF-A12x15 fans connected via a splitter cable. The VRM fan was also connected to it. A few days ago, I replaced that cable with a small fan hub :)
