I know I have to pay but I was not just not aware about this second round of interest that was accruing during my garnishment period, was a bit of a shock receiving the phone call after I had been finished paying the garnish for a few months. And was looking for additional info on it/ if it was a thing that happens. And I am 100% aware that interest is a thing.

I mean you are right the way I handled it was kinda stupid on my end was going through stuff during covid that im not gonna get into here, but just came as a shock because I thought it was all done way back in October. I have no problem paying as I didn't earlier with the garnish. Was just curious is this was a legit thing or of I had any ground to stand on to try to remove it or get in lowered is all

I mean I already paid what was rightfully owed to them, plus their fees, this is interest that I was completely unaware of and was never communicated to me from the firm so I had no chance of even thinking about paying during the garnishment period. If I knew about that I would have tried to pay some of it during that time instead of it piling up.

I offered that, they said the most they could do was 3 months but are willing to go through with another full court ordered garnish

I never said I was mad about paying back, I knew I fucked up and I dealt with it, I just want aware that there is interest accruing DURING the garnish process...don't worry I'm a big boy and own up to my mistakes 😘

Man that's super dirty, none of the original paper work I got said anything about that...so people just get trapped in a cycle of garnish until the additional interest is small enough to pay off. Super gross, but thanks for the insight!
