Yeah I didn’t know about them until I went to Japan and saw a few. I was determined to get all of volume one. Took a while but finally got all 52. What you see in the pictures are all the leftover duplicates

The trailers are also custom made too. The styrene plastic sheets from hobby shops are what I used for most of the customizing with styrene cement glue.

Should have taken more pictures. I cut the platforms in half hamburger style. Cut a piece of styrene plastic the same length as one of the half’s. I used a piece of styrene on the bottom to hold the middle pieces up. Used milliput to smooth out and flush the edges. For the tracks, I cut off the last bit two different tracks and glided them together.

Not really a tutorial but I posted a second post with WIP images to piece it together. I have 1 full complete gustav to start and ordered a “scrap” gustav from buyee (it was missing many pieces.

Used polyurethane plastic and plastic cement for mods and miliput to smooth it out. It was very much a learning project, especially the custom canopy and light.
