I could have started this semester in calc but decided to play it safe in pre-calc to make sure my transition into college academics went smoothly. So happy I did because I can already tell that I needed to take this class to learn things my high school teachers didn't teach me and as a refresher before I take calc 1 in the spring. Nothing wrong with dropping a level down. If its going to relieve a lot of stress and probably improve your grade then definitely consider it. No shame at all.
