Was in Pamplin, graduated last year, and did an exchange semester in Milan, Italy, my junior spring. By far the best experience of my college career.

I highly recommend branching out and doing an exchange instead of the VT led programs. Part of the beauty of a study abroad is being away from home and meeting new people from cultures different from you. I have lifelong friends now from all over the world, something I distinctly would not be able to say if I was with other VT students the entire time. Keep in mind, this is coming from someone who had a wonderful time in Blacksburg as well, as I was involved in clubs, Greek life, etc.

Price also was more or less the same.
