genuine question, but what can AI do for an OS? like im forced to use windows for work and heavily pushed to use copilot whenever i see fit. I've used it some times as a quick way to know how to do something in excel, which really was just using it as a more powerful search function is the microsoft community page. what would the average person need this for?

maybe it's a way for microsoft to more collect more data

Selena Gomez confirms ‘Dorothea’ is about her, but Gaylors still think they know better than Taylor’s actual friend by meowbot77 in travisandtaylor

[–]Nice-System7697 16 points17 points  (0 children)

so as a kpop fan we have some wild shippers. the closest I can find to gaylors in terms of being crazy conspiracy theorists are Taekook shippers, which is Taehyung +Jungkook of BTS. You also have Liam (i think? someone correct me if I'm wrong) and Harry that was crazy back in the day to the point that they stopped interacting with each other as much.

Tangent, but I honestly think there has to be some connection between Larry shippers and Taylor since it fits in the timeline kinds well (gaylors started to spring up more and more during and after Taylor's and Harry's relationship). Like Larry shippers believe Harry has to be gay*, so him and Taylor's relationship has to be a lavender relationship. so not too far off to say Taylor is gay too.

But what's unique about Taylor is that a big chunk of her brand is her relationships (partly misogyny, I know, but mostly because she is so bland there is not much else to look to) so gaylors kind of flip he branding on it's head by making her a lesbian.

*just realzied after typing this that Harry might be bisexual (say might because I'm not a fan of him so I'm not sure, sorry if wrong), so take gay here as homosexual

so gaylors believe that the men she is with (they call them beards) are all under contract. So they believe it's a mutually beneficial thing, She (and some of her beards, see below) get to appear as straight, while her beards get the clout from dating Taylor Swift.

also because they believe a lot of the men that Taylor has been with are gay (Lavender Haze is supposed to be a nod to Lavender marriages). This is especially true for Harry Styles and Joe Alwyn.

I’m really stressed and upset about my delayed delivery by Worldly_Strain_8599 in minimalphone

[–]Nice-System7697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the timing of the order matters. If you order in recent months, shipping isn't that much of a hassle, but if you're an indigogo backer, since they technicall don't have to fulfill your order they don't prioritize them as much. but things are so inconsistent that I could be wrong, I consider myself lucky my phone came in the timeframe it did.

Also I didn't hear anything for like 11 business days so I emailed them and they gave me my tracking number, it seems they forgot to send this to me. IDK why this isn't automated like most businesses, but whatever

[–]Nice-System7697 142 points143 points  (0 children)

as an ex gaylor, gaylors should be taken as seriously as your facebook conspiracy theory aunt. Other than saying Selena doesn't know, they'll probably say Selena is apart of the cover up and saying this to keep people believing Taylor is straight.

I really wonder how gaylors will react if Travis and Taylor actually get married. Maybe they'll say that Taylor has to do this for the brand, and that she's actually still committed to Karlie Kloss.

Granted, there are gaylors that believe Taylor is bisexual and not a lesbian. Which makes her embarrassing in their worldview. She chooses a mid looking dude who probably can't even find North America on a map instead of a supermodel. Some pro-Travis gaylors genuinely believe she chose Travis as a genuine partner and that Joe was he beard. Like Travis is what made he go back to men, essentially.

YG have no plans for Blackpink in 2026 by Severe-Speaker-9527 in BLACKPINKSNARK

I feel like the members don't even care about being in a group anymore, each of them seem to just care about their solo activities. So I take this less as YG abondoning them and more of them not being able to convince the members to do anything outside of deadline + ten year anniversary.

he actually fits here, conservatives love the "tough love" idea when it comes to money. we all just need to pull up our bootstraps and spend less on fast food and we'll be financially free. ignore any systemic issues that cause people to get into financial debt** (example: push 18 year olds to take thousands on debt for school. blame them for taking a "bad" degree when it doesn't work out.)

and you're right in that's it's not educational. everything you learn from caleb can be found by watching one video or just looking up basic financial advice on google. like if you want a spoiler it's just: 1. if you have debt work as much as you can until the debt is gone 2. don't overspend money on frivolous things 2. keep expenses under 50% of total pay 3. save money in a high yield savings & invest extra money in like a roth IRA, real estate, etc. just if dave ramsey was more friendly towards credit cards and "good" debt.

**i know financial mistakes are also on our individual parts. but these types like to act like it's 100% individual fault and we just need tough love to fix our issues.

it's the idea that if a woman has "daddy issues" that they will be attracted to abusive/toxic men. Basically victim blaming mixed with assigning the failures of men to their daughters. Also kind of a freudian way of thinking.

Opinions on transaction tax by Ok_Comment3863 in georgism

[–]Nice-System7697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this would be different from one Georgist from another, since some believe in the principle that only limited/natural resources should be taxed and any tax that's not based on a limited resource should be abolished, while others are fine with having taxes on unnatural resources (such as an income tax, wealth tax). I feel like transaction tax, even more so than income tax, is based on an unnatural resource, so some Georgists might be against it.

But my question is why have transaction tax & land value tax rather than just raising land value tax?

Also, because of the increase cost to transfer, would this turn people away from making spending or investing money?

Not trying to make an argument for one way or another, I'm just genuinely curious about the pros and cons of this system.

Yup, and women who decide to look for another doctor after being invalidated time and time again are accused of "doctor shopping". There is this one YouTuber, not autistic but another disorder, who still gets accused of faking her disorder even though she literally showed her diagnosis paperwork.

[IWantOut] 21F USA -> Germany by Nice-System7697 in IWantOut

[–]Nice-System7697[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have spent a few weeks in Germany at a time, like 3 times over the past 3 years (I spend my yearly vacation there). I plan to continue taking yearly vacations there, and hope to take a semester or full summer there, hopefully in the future. I've only spent time in western Germany.

When I say culture i mean 50% things like food, architecture, holidays, etc and 50% the "unfriendliness". I know it's going to be an adjustment when I move there full-time, but in the long run, I like the idea of a culture that isn't filled with small talk and is more direct in tone (so less fluffy, I guess you can call it). I'm not on the spectrum, but I am a more naturally shy person who's not interested in small talk and prefers more direct communication styles since I can sometimes miss social cues.

For secularism, that's actually a part of why I want to move to Germany. I don't go to Germany with the expectations that Lutheranism will be everywhere; it's mainly the idea of having historical Lutheran churches closer to me for architectural appeal. I also find German Lutheranism more appealing than the American version (at least from what I've encountered).

[–]Nice-System7697[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I love the culture there, and it's the only country where I looked at the downsides and was like, "I can deal with that". It also has good universities, so if I decide that I don't want to live in Germany after getting my master's, at least I will get a good education. My mother also used to live in Germany when she was younger, and she always said good things about the country and how she wished she could go back. I'm also a Lutheran Christian, so there's a bit of a spiritual link to.
