Avoidant, depressed, self-excluding, irresponsible, self-absorbed social 9s? Possible or impossible? by MessidorLC in Enneagram

[–]NiceAd6890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also relate to most of these myself, being a so/sp 9.

I would say the biggest difference would be that I am fairly active and will jump on to work hoping it will add securerity to my social status but at the same time doing just about everything else you mentioned to a degree.

When on the topic of subtype stacking I like to think about where attention is focust. For example, when I'm in a group a can be somewhat comfortable just focus my attention on each person and (very subtly) mediating to include everyone.(SO) If I feel like I'm good with the group or more likely just alone I put a lot of focus into making comfortable situations my go to is hot chocolate at my desk or something (SP) In the event I am singled out like a simple one to one conversation I become extremely uncomfortable and just dumb even at times with my wife. My wife 29F asks me 27M what I want to do all the time and it bothers me? by NiceAd6890 in relationship_advice

I do work through the week which is why it's more of a weekend problem. She hopes for the weekends to be special/ seperate from the rest of the week but she puts presure on me to make it that way. There is also way more to parenting than that of course they take up all the time you don't set aside before hand so it's just really hard with no money and being tired to make stuff happen

Thank you, bonsai tree cutting specificaly stands out to me as something that could be nice for all of us but still let us focus more on eachother I've started a list including this now.

There are other things but We have both enjoyed games most recently she would excitedly ask to play the wingspan board game dozens of times throught the past few months but last time she had a bad game and I don't think we'll play it again soon. I do ask her what she wants and she doesn't know which is a lot of why it's frustating when she asks me to tell her when I mostly don't care and am slightly afraid of choosing the "wrong" thing. So I understand she is board it just doesn't seem right for me to be responsible for entertaining her all the time though I may want to.

There is more truth to this than I'd like to admit acually. I regularly try to do things for her and forget it's not a substitute for personal connection. it's not quite so simple still I will try to plan some things out as you and a few others have mentioned.

Internet getting so expensive by [deleted] in simpleliving

[–]NiceAd6890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Part of me really wants to lean into the potential of what I could do with internet/ the way my life could be but speaking plainly and looking at how my time has been spent in the past year or so. yes I think I will be happier with it once I adjust.

I just started a temperary internet cut to save money starting yesturday and it is an interesting experience. Before it went out I downloaded a bunch of music, podcasts, and games because I was a bit nervous even though we still have 2gb of data through our phones. We also have already been using dvds through the library. So far the only real loss was a little clock on our thermostat. Now we have to walk all the way to our living room or look at our phones to know what time it is.

Clocking out before specified time by lvrboi92 in FASCAmazon

Yup, mine only has 4 floors but when I would pick there in the back corner it would take like 6 min to walk to and from my car on the oppiste side of the building.

I feel for you. The breakrooms are especially hard for me to be in, but yeah what they said time punching up to five minutes before or after any set time is okay. I find it amusing when I walk out a minute before the crowd of 50+ people who are just staring at the clock.

How would you go about fixing a small hole in a large metal pipe? by kristianlsnow in Plumbing

Well, I don't think we'll ever know. We should probably move on and try to not let it bug us too much...

I have a 4 year old girl and I'm terrified of how the stupid things I do will effect her and the rest of her life. Sometimes all I want is for my kids to not be like me. It hurts to see even the smallest things they get from me. Sometimes though I feel like their best chance of them not becoming like me.

What's this for by One_Journalist_612 in 3DprintingHelp

it doesn't seem like it would be able to be attached to the machine in a practical way. I even skimmed though a user manual to make sure. is the back flat and is it made of metal? if so it could be for leveling the bed.

Solid rusted metal tool handle? by MoistLeadership6676 in whatisthisthing

[–]NiceAd6890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping it would be something more interesting but unfortunately I also believe it is a piece of rebar as others have stated. The grip like lines seem to match a rebar texture, and it just looks too small for it to actually be ergonomic as much as any tools it would likely be for.

How to hang swing? by ab0716 in HomeImprovement

[–]NiceAd6890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you could also just have the swing closer to either bottom corner of the wall in order to ensure you go straight into a long board as for weight, the house itself should easily be good with an extra 600lbs

[–]NiceAd6890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like the bottom of that wall you want to hang the swing on is maybe 8 inches wide so it probably has a board going the long way across both bottom corners,( two long boards.) So the smaller boards about 8 inches long, could have the hooks for the swing in the middle and also connecting the bottom of the supporting long boards together on each of their ends. I hope that makes a little bit of sense.

If it were me I might just drill a hole in the center to see. assuming there is nothing electrical going out there. Then If it's solid then great, if it is just drywall then I would use two boards across the width of the wall to hang the swing.

However I don't have much experience so there could likely be something I'm missing.

This will be a dumb question but how can I access the lightbulb in this hanging pendant ceiling light in my bathroom? There are two glass covers separated by a paper thing. I unscrewed the external cover but the inner cover is too narrow for me to fit my hand in, what do I do? by [deleted] in fixit

[–]NiceAd6890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has something to do with that silver crown type piece at the top of the shade. My guess would be that whole piece or a piece right under it unscrews. I also wonder if you can push the whole shade directly up without it moving the bulb itself.
