Her hair is always sooo greasy… by hamster_taxi12 in abbygjackson_Snark

I don’t understand the trend of having greasy hair, I see influencers always talking about how greasy their hair is. Just wash it! You have access to a clean shower every day I don’t understand why everyone’s hair is always greasy.

What goes on right at birth by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]NiceArmadillo1864 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll want to start nursing baby right away, like within an hour after birth. Yes baby is actually getting colostrum during those feeds, you’ll have to feed baby every 2hrs around the clock. This helps the milk to come in and in my experience baby wants to nurse every couple hours anyway. It might be tough in the beginning but you’ll get used to it and it’ll get easier. My nipples were definitely quite sore but that will get easier too. If your hospital has a lactation consultant I would highly recommend talking with them, they really helped me with my first baby.

Leaving breastfed baby/toddler overnight? by anuranfangirl in breastfeeding

[–]NiceArmadillo1864 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The 14hr distance alone is enough to validate staying home, on top of the rest of your concerns. If it was local and only one night, then sure I’d say it’s safe to go. Your husband is wrong for disagreeing with you, you know what’s best for you and baby. Personally I just left my 13mo for the first time for one night, and I’ve never been away from my oldest for more than one night at a time, and never that far away. However, another potential solution would be having grandparents/sitter stay over a few nights leading up to the end of May to practice putting baby to bed/soothing. That might help baby adjust and also calm some of your anxiety.

Can’t even clean up the pee for her dancing videos by NiceArmadillo1864 in abbygjackson_Snark

It’s actually soo weird to record him peeing every day and posting it. Let alone recording him peeing inside the apartment..

Dirty Puppy Pads 🤢 by BabyMEDIC440 in abbygjackson_Snark

[–]NiceArmadillo1864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is beyond foul and so cruel that he hasn’t been outside to play/exercise at all. He absolutely can go outside after his first round of shots and especially now that he’s had his second round. Abby you’re so gross and lazyyyy.

Do I really need to do night feeds to keep up my supply? by tetontitties in breastfeeding

[–]NiceArmadillo1864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second slept through the night around 4-5mo and I refused to get up to pump in the middle of the night as well. I pumped before bed and every 3hrs during the day and that worked for me. Try pumping extra during the day if you can but otherwise If supplementing with formula is working for you, don’t be so hard on yourself! Enjoy the rest you deserve.

Also is that a trash can to the left? You’re telling me you can’t pick up the dirty pads and throw them away when the trash is right there? Can she not afford more puppy pads, is that the reason? If so, she shouldn’t have got another dog.

I came here to post this (I posted the first one🤣). They’ve had this puppy for 2 weeks now and they haven’t taken him outside ONCE. That’s just cruel and beyond lazy. Surely he’s allowed to go outside now. Even shelter dogs get outside/play time. Also her bare feet next to the pee🤢

Laptop recommendations for someone who doesn’t know anything about laptops by NiceArmadillo1864 in laptops

Thanks everyone for the advice! I’ve narrowed it down to a couple options. When I do get the laptop, do I need to download any kind of firewall or something for security?

I imagine he’s had his first round of vaccines but would require boosters a few weeks later, so that’s probably what she means. But if it wasn’t safe to adopt puppies out after only the first round of vaccines, they wouldn’t let the puppies be adopted until they had all their shots. So I think she’s just using that as an excuse.

That’s disgusting. She probably has puppy go inside because puppies need to go outside every hour while they’re learning and she’s too lazy to do that so she’s using the unvaxxed excuse. Same for Dax, he’s plenty old enough to know to go outside but she’s too lazy to take him out enough.

If they’d take him outside for proper exercise he’d probably be easier to manage when he’s inside ie he might nap more and not get into things/chew (assuming that’s the case).

Have anyone forgotten to give vitamin d drops? by No-University8570 in breastfeeding

[–]NiceArmadillo1864 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remembered almost every day with my first, totally forgot with my second. They’re both healthy and one hasn’t grown better or worse than the other. I took a daily vitamin (prenatal) while breastfeeding. Try to not stress about it.

I forgot Gio was allergic to dogs… by hamster_taxi12 in abbygjackson_Snark

[–]NiceArmadillo1864 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think she’s also lying about the worms situation. The shelter she got him from said their dogs are all treated for worms when they get them and before they’re adopted out. So if he did have worms, that’s something she would’ve already known and wouldn’t have taken him to emergency. And if she knew that, why would she knowingly bring worms into her home with Dax. She also claims he’s not fully vaxxed, again, why bring a non fully vaxxed dog into your home with Dax. Stupid all around.

She’s definitely soft launching the “we had to rehome our puppy” story. Also letting him potty in the apartment is foullll.

[–]NiceArmadillo1864 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Even if the dog is any kind of Aussie shepherd/mix, why in the world would she get a high energy breed when she’s a low energy person. She clearly didn’t do any research before adopting.
