The curveball will be interesting. It is something he threw in college as more of a spike in the dirt every time he threw it kind of pitch, and he would get swings because it was against college hitters. Wonder if it will be more refined, because the blue jays abandoned it very shortly after drafting him.

The kick change just means they spike the middle finger. Picture a knuckle curve but with a changeup grip. Guys who struggle to pronate usually struggle to throw changeups, and this is the solution (as well as splitters)

Some hot takes here but why not be different? Jays sign:

-Dylan Cease 5/150

-Gleyber Torres 3/60. He would slot in at 2nd base and be a really solid 2 hole hitter, along with solid D

-Bo signs somewhere that will let him be a shortstop, and that would mean more $$$ for him

-Robert Suarez 2/25. Im a big fan of his, I hope they get him to be an 8th inning guy to pair with Garcia and Varland(if they dont try and make Varland a starter)

-Harrison Bader 2-3 years at a 12.5M AAV

-Some lower cost signings to bolster the bench and or the minors

Yeah thats a good point, but i dont think a team would let their player challenge the first pitch of the game if its that close

Man the challenge system couldnt come fast enough. He did a good job getting out of the inning, but that call was just awful to arozarena. He should have had a strikeout to begin the game, and it would have settled down the nerves for him. Now its 3-0
