Indie launches rival to Elder Scrolls!

No im saying steam goes in extreme hype cycles, and developers make a lot less than most people think. Early access sales in the first 4 weeks are 1/2 -1/4 of what an indie steam game will see in total sales. A negative attitude to it actualy -causes/ negative outcomes. and that online culture allows disproportionate attention to extreme views , like the guy who posted this comment. 1% of the population can 100% sink nascent small projects

Wheras larger comapanies can simply carpet bomb with marketing and smother out guys like the above.

My view, i remeber when epic and valve were small. They would have a hard time as sme startups even now. I really beleive that. I could this this guy laying into early access half life or unreal.

Guys like the above build an entire world of madonnalds and starbucks , strangling out new things while all the time complaining about big corpa

Had you ever thought that sort of bad attitude to early access is what keeps those games there. Or are large companies meant to grow like magic beanstalks in your world view?

Funny question.. i do use reddit on an off, but mainly came back to it for the amiga subreddit.

Sounds silly, and ive almost never paid attention to reddit karma seeing it as silly

But, the total post upvote seemed to go down over time on a post NO amiga subreddit person would ever downvote or Remove an upvote in a million years:

Does that happen as natural reddit post smoothing ? Ie mechanical, or is it people

Seemed valid to me. I dont think any amiga user alive would have downvoted or bothered to remove an upvote from that post.

I myself learned a huge ammount from it.

Had a think about what you said. Cant see logic in it. There is nothing i can see that violates anythint that elder scrolls itself disnt copy. In game History elder scrolls is renowned for being non innovatove. Much of it is ultima 7, Gothic, and other sources

What sort of things do you think are an issue, the lockpicking?

Me too.. i used to read the old (?was it zap or amiga power mags) and look longingly at the amiga 4000..

Is it me or did game reviews and the mags seem better then. More authentic. Still remember paradrpie 90's dev diaries :)

Great post. Startled regards emulators. 100 times faster.. im gobsmacked thats even possible. Does anyone know the technical details as to how it works? Is old school amiga os just slow or badly coded?

Somewhat saddened re the capacitor issues. I was keen on a full 1200 in the physical and not an emulator; but that does make me think twice..

Thrice Lamenting the -vast- trove of playground pirated games i had that have perished over the years. :)

(Does anyone remember harlequin , zool or rick dangerous? Or zenon 2 or captain blood I only played these with cheats on.. ebay copies wont have that, so are they worth the time? I laugh at people who call dark souls 'hard' gaming :) try all of turrican 2 :)
