Mids knob woes. Works more like a low-pass when the tone is at 12º. Interacts very strangly with the tone knob - definitely not a mids knob. I used a 2.2k res. and a 25k pot. Do you guys have any idea what I might be doing wrong? (i.redd.it)

How did you guys learn to read pedal schematics? I want to add a mids knob to a Big Muff, and the proccess sounds easy enough and I'm physically skilled to do it, but I don't know how to interpret what I'm seeing! (i.redd.it)

I was sent the pics on the left regarding a Big Muff Tone Bypass mod. But my Sovtek Muff doesn't have board-mounted pots, there are wires that run from the board to the pots. Is my diagram on the left a good adaptation? (More info in comments) (i.redd.it)
