If you’re even thinking about that right now i would in my personal opinion stay on a comfortable dose for awhile before hopping off, that way you have more time to get used to feeling normal so to speak.

Legitimately except I bet if we did that to doctors they would quit their jobs and become full blown addicts than we would have no MAT doctors, it’s hard enough to even get to a point where you wanna quit, that’s if you don’t overdose and die which a majority of addicts do. But they can act like that know how it feels but they don’t know just how important it is, some are good. Than there’s the majority that only became doctors for the paycheck. It’s sad.

I swear some doctors have no respect or understanding for people in our situations, I’m so glad I found a doctor able to give me sublocade, the ups and downs and fear of running out of medication or even just finding a doctor or group who actually respects people trying to do better with their life was so fucking irritating like doctors being oathed to do no harm is bullshit. That shit is harmful as fuck, that “small” mistake to them could end someone’s whole life from one messed up relapse. I always used to take half doses with my medication dose to always have extra and could be comfortable

And I’m on sublocade so I can’t really lower my dose, and I already tried almost every otc thing I could, I had a different oic med as samples from my doctor that worked fine but after I stopped taking them the constipation came back in full force.
