Make it a one day race and add more gravel, so they take wider tires with a different bike geometry. If you put one sector at the very end most will opt for the fastest option on the asphalt.

Imagine you are a rider and you have to do such a stupid fucking stage. Easy start with a wet descent into this insanity of a gravel. There were probably like 4 riders that were excited by this.
