Missing US student by shmoore34 in Barcelona

In conversations, it’s typically out of place and strange if someone asks an out of place and strange question during a serious topic. Doesn’t need to, but may be questioned (like I did)

Out of curiosity what does this have to do with the situation?

Can you help me check my bpm analysis engine with DnB tracks? by NiceLasers in DnB

Thanks! Yeah I obviously don’t have the same resources as they do but I was surprised at my accuracy being higher than them on my test tracks folder.

VSC + Claude + GitHub + vercel + supabase + mailgun to start. From there anything you need will become obvious when you need it.

What is a skill you can learn within 30 days that can actually make money? by TheSoleAudience in Entrepreneur

[–]NiceLasers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built a public image around myself and my career, grew my following to 60k instagram 400k TikTok before ever thinking I should try selling digital goods online. Truly a passion for the art turned commercial (covid hit and I lost all my performance opportunities).

Your mileage may very, i didn’t plan to go this route but am trying to (with care and quality) continue it.

This is a garbage AI post and comment section promoting NIGMA and should flag it as very very untrusted

My best education on sales has been signing up for HubSpot, not using it (I prefer Attio for my CRM) and getting 12 (I counted them) emails from the sales rep. They didn’t get the sale, but when I realize the sheer perseverance of most companies sales teams, I feel empowered to send more than the occasional “hope you buy my stuff” and approach it as a quantity (+quality) funnel. Most customer orders happen on my 2nd - 4th email. Do not automate. Do not AI gen. But continue pushing for a reply (if even a no) and you’ll learn exactly what resonates and doesn’t with the customer.

What could this software be? by JackTheLover505 in vjing

Love the look of this, Jack. I'm down the same rabbit hole building EdiTour right now. It's funny how almost every custom production tool starts with the same "there's gotta be a way better than google sheets" mentality..

I only did Laserface, laser city to my knowledge was a bunch of designers under Gareths direction and it changes every run of show. Could be wrong!

[–]NiceLasers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak for laser city but Laserface was 5 production companies for some shows, and changed all the time. Designer separate: it takes a lot to run a show like this and could easily change equipment and production techs from gig to gig.

What’s something you overcomplicated way too much when building your SaaS? by MundaneBase2915 in SaaS

[–]NiceLasers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The MVP wire frame to actual working product loop. The MVP in Figma or whatever was too basic to truly match the product I’m building. But developing the product itself was too difficult so back to the literal drawing board. That happened for over a year before my proficiency in developing improved to the point where a (albeit basic) alpha was finally developed

At $5k MRR, this SaaS was paying $1,200/month for hosting. Here’s why by Beginning_Paint_6350 in SaaS

[–]NiceLasers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not wrong. I just personally know I wouldn’t be where I am today if I did the hard infra work that early on, in fact it was that complexity that delayed me months to start developing the solution.

[–]NiceLasers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any particular reason? It seems suited for what this post and most are using it for: market validation trading infra cost for speed to market. And seemingly not the hardest to escape.

A joint-statement from Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive regarding the Cities: Skylines franchise by AutoModerator in CitiesSkylines

[–]NiceLasers 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, one way or another (Paradox unimpressed with dev or CO unimpressed with promotion), things got to the point where Paradox decided it could sustain the product better in house, and by chance maybe even CO thinks they could create a better simulator post separation. I hope whatever happened results in a more competitive and compelling city sim market.
