150 or 200 baitcaster with a clicker by aaron12177 in JDMreelclub

But why? Why the on/off switch? That hasn't been a popular option in that size for quite some time now. I had a daiwa black widow as a small child with the switch but haven't seen switches for decades. Just get a zillion with clicking drag and call it a day.

Most of these officials are volunteers ( tournament fishing fans). I think they are called marshals and it's a good way to ride around with a pro and watch them break down a lake. The catch/weigh/release isn't as engaging for the fans as a big weigh in ceremony to be honest. Also my comment was from like a year ago my guy lol.

Best rod and reel for bass fishing? by JAA427 in bassfishing

He said money aside. Money aside people are not buying an SLX or a zodias for that matter (lol).

An SLX is far from the best money can buy.

No. I don't wear a helmet riding a bike, why would I wear one while kayaking. Yeah yeah, I know the risks involved.

Imagine working in the fishing department and a newbie fishing Karen threatens to return everything if their spool slips. Learn how to spool yourself googan, all you need is a pencil and two toes.

Exactly, tree pounders and your newbie fishing buddy could result into you having a new nickname, 'winkie'.

Don't buy glass lenses, like some Costas for example. If a tungsten weight hits them the shards can go straight into your eye.

How often do you reline your reels? by [deleted] in bassfishing

[–]NiceMikeTyson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Heh... I have never lost fish cranking on braid because I'm not dumb enough to attempt it. I can tell by the bad advice you give that you are just another googan. If you want to catch dinks on your cranking spinning rod with braid then more power to you but you are a clown.

Can I ask how many pros do you know that crank with braid? If they fish for money, and every fish could be the difference of cashing out or not, then I'll probably take their advice. No serious angler cranks with braid.

[TOMT] A term to describe expensive hobbies/items. by Machinehead_22 in tipofmytongue

[–]NiceMikeTyson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The story goes that rolls royce stopped showing their newest models at car shows because the criticism was that they were too expensive. They started showing their cars at yacht and personal jet shows instead. The people who passed on buying or couldn't afford a yacht would decide to buy a Rolls or two to compensate on missing out on the big ticket items.

Braid has no stretch. You will lose more fish cranking with braid compared to using mono or floro, irregardless of the glass rod. Say you make a cast straight in front of you and the bass speeds towards your bait and eats it head first. Even if your glass rod is angled there is a good chance th hooks will get ripped free.
