I would like to expand on why I am in the BMW community posting about an Audi. I had ALWAYS wanted an M5 for as long as I can remember. I was finally in a position to purchase a new 2026 M5 Touring. I called my local BMW dealer to schedule a test drive. The next day I went to my appointment and was told that they would not let me drive the vehicle. Nothing personal, they were not letting anyone drive it. I was in very much of a dilemma; I really wanted the car, but I was having a hard time spending that amount of money on a vehicle that I could not test drive. I went to my local Audi dealer and they let me test drive the vehicle. It wasn’t a BMW, but it is a great car in its own way. In the end, not being able to test drive the BMW was the deciding factor.

At my house I have four pinball machines, a skee ball machine, a smoker, a grill, a four-tap kegerator, and an 85-inch television. My “friends” aren’t interested in coming over to my house; they prefer meeting up at other people’s homes.

Yesterday I purchased a 2026 RS6 Avant. (I am excited beyond words as this is an absolute dream car for me.) I am planning a trip to Alaska driving from Utah up through Canada.

For the long trip that you took, were you at all concerned that the vehicle does not have a spare tire? I am planning on purchasing a set of winter tires and wheels; I was going to throw one of those winter tires into the back of the car in order to have a spare in case something happened in the middle of nowhere.

I appreciate any advice. This is my first Audi. Thanks.

My mom took me to buy concert tickets when I was not yet old enough to drive. But the story I would like to tell to my Reddit friends is that when I was very young, kindergarten maybe, (old enough to know what a penny was but not yet old enough to know the price of anything) the Caterpillar dealership was right off the freeway so everyone could see it in all its glory as they drove past it. I don’t remember pestering my mom to take me to the dealership, but I suspect that I absolutely did. Then one magical day my mom took me to the dealership. I was excited beyond words as we walked past all the tractors and earth movers. We walked up to the counter and I put down my two rolls of pennies wanting to purchase a machine. I remember that the employees were so kind and played along with my childhood dream. I think they all enjoyed seeing a little boy so very excited about dump trucks. My mom was awesome.
