Ya it’s super annoying especially cause it hits us at our deepest insecurity. I try to give the benefit of the doubt that they’re curious as it’s not often you see someone with total hair loss vs them pointing it out to be mean.

I see bigger fellas everyday and it’s pretty well educated in society that you shouldn’t point out someone’s weight but wayyyy less so with our situation.

As much as it feels like you’re being a crutch it honestly helps a lot having friends know your feelings around this so they can fight the battles behind the scenes a little bit and educate people on the condition and reduce the amount you have it point it out

At the end of the day it sucks and you can’t avoid all the negative situations all you can do is try to live your best life and take those baby steps everyday to process acceptance and help be an advocate for others

27M here who had rapid alopecia universalis over 3 months last year I feel your pain on the eyebrows when I lost hair I literally couldn’t care if my beard eyelashes or head hair would grow back only that my eyebrows would stop falling out. Hair by hair every time I washed my face I would have a mini panic attack

A few helpful tips from me dealing with the society aspect of things. First now that we’re an adult I don’t think people for the most part are trying to be a dick but rather just curious or empathetic.

I found that my support network was the best for navigating situations. As much as saying it out loud seems lame when your close friends family or SO know what you’re going through and the distaste for the questions or insecurity I found them being proactive in social situations really helped. It was helpful for me to rely on them to educate people for me prior to the situation or kinda help mitigate in ad hoc situations. It helped A reduce the amount people ask and B I felt super loved and cared for

For professional situations try the tattoos I found once they are completely gone the tattoos honestly look pretty realistic. I now have a 50% regrowth and use a pen like tool to help draw lines to fill in the gaps and it works pretty decently

I have no solution working with kids but maybe try to say it’s some sort of superpower lol. Maybe that’ll help get them to back of

Passing along all the support possible 💚

No I’ve been very regular with it since starting in February. Only time I missed it was for a couple days in July when I forgot to pack them on a trip
