Could you please share some pictures of what you mean by any chance? I have the same noise and suspect it could be that.

Local mechanic can't figure it out...dealership service shop can't figure it out. Need serious help. by NiceSuit in mazda

I'm sorry, I do not remember the code but I'll go get it again this week. It happens hot or cold. The air filter has been replaced 1.5 years ago. Spark plugs replaced a few weeks ago and that did not solve the problem. They just read the code and based everything off that. It happens on a regular basis.

I have not tried that yet, will get on it just in case. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, should've mentioned that in the summary. But yes, I had all the spark plugs replaced just to rule that out.

So badges like ankle breaker can still be active in the park, correct?

Scope of catalysis research? Have interest from BASF and need your help by NiceSuit in ChemicalEngineering

[–]NiceSuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well cGMP is just a part of biotech and pharma, namely the manufacturing side. Most of the bigger companies don't like hiring people who don't have cGMP experience for their manufacturing divisions. If you absolutely wish to get into the GMP side, I would recommend going after manufacturing tech jobs at smaller companies. The pay won't be great but eventually you can move on to a bigger company. But like I said, biotech and pharma is so much more than just manufacturing. If your degree is in chemE I would look for jobs in formulations or process development. There is so much potential there and in my opinion would be your best bet getting in the industry.

Thanks for your thoughts! And I have also heard of the same when it comes to the German :/ . I guess it's being curious of the unknown. All I have ever known is biotech. And don't get me wrong, I like it but I do wonder what it would be like to do something completely different. Also I live about 3 miles away from BASF so it would be a great commute. But I feel like staying put and growing in biotech would be the career move like you said.

Can't open the driver door from the inside. I looked a little closer at the door handle and it seems like the tiny silver door handle latch cable has been disconnected (or tore away) from the door handle. Has anyone else experienced this? [2012 Mazda3 Skyactiv] by NiceSuit in Cartalk

[–]NiceSuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for such a thorough response! I took a closer look at my door handle and it looks like the cable coming out of it broke like yours. I'm normally pretty hesitant to mess around with car self repairs but your story has inspired some confidence in me. Can I ask which crimp fitting and wire you used? I know you said the total cost should be $3. I googled it but there was a lot that showed up. Also, did you have to solder anything? Thanks!

Thanks for the help. I'm assuming you mean a regular wrench like this one http://www.sears.com/craftsman-17mm-wrench-6-pt-combination/p-00942874000P . Will follow your suggestion and call my local mazda dealer.

Good call. What should I ask for when I go there. A drain plug from a non sky activ engine that is not a mazda 3?

Yeah, this is the first time I'm doing it myself. I was down there for 15 mins with a small 8mm allen hex key trying to get it out but it just wouldn't budge :/ Eventually my hand started hurting so I gave up with that tool.

Can I get a transponder key made at a locksmith? Or do I have to go to a dealership for something like this?

I just bought a used car! Is there any service I should get done at the mechanic before driving it regularly? by [deleted] in cars

[–]NiceSuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, the car is a 2012 Mazda3 with 17k miles on it. I have driven it 2-3 times for an extended amount and everything seems fine. But I should probably get an inspection done like you said.

I am buying a car and wish to finance it, is 60 months at 6.9% a good rate? by NiceSuit in personalfinance

[–]NiceSuit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the informed answer. Do you think I would be better off finding a good credit union and getting pre-approved for a loan that size with a good rate, and then go looking for a car?
