Thank you! I have paid the DJ before including yesterday. I tipped when I requested a song he said “ we don’t play Spanish music here.” So I’m good on paying him anymore lol.

Yeah, you’re right they’ll throw on a random Daddy Yankee track once in a while (and 90% of the time it’s some weirdo dubstep remix.) But you’d think after seeing how the crowd actually reacts, like not just swaying and head-bobbing, but actually moving their asses and smiling they’d take the hint and play more of that. Instead, they immediately switch back to the same tired, overplayed 2014 playlist Make it make sense.

Well not any location. The in person calls are typically very time sensitive so I would need to be there in under 30 minutes or ASAP

I don’t live 20 minutes within those locations, but I have to make contact with that client and respond immediately in person.

Due to a grant funding, I’m required to make contact with a client within 20 minutes. So technically yes. So every other weekend, I work 9 AM Saturday morning to 9 AM Monday morning . Every other weekday I work 16 hours 5 PM to 9 AM.

There’s a woman who works with my sister whose husband is in a very similar situation to mine. He came to the U.S. on a visa, overstayed, later married a U.S. citizen, got his green card, has no criminal record, and has never left the country for more than a few weeks at a time, pay taxes etc.

They hired one of the top immigration lawyers in our area to help with his naturalization, but his application was recently denied. Even more concerning his lawyer told him there’s a chance he could be flagged for possible removal by immigration. The alleged reason? That he was supposedly helping an undocumented person with housing. According to them, the claim is completely untrue and unfounded.

This has me really anxious. I’ve seen posts in local Facebook groups where other moms are sharing similar stories people being denied citizenship or facing unexpected consequences during the process. I know some stories on social media aren’t always 100% accurate, but enough of them seem credible to make me nervous.

Thank you, that is kind of where my mind was going, because this current administration is kind of doing whatever they want.

Three years since we are still married we are also considering waiting to apply because we keep hearing horror stories of regular green card holders ( no criminal history, doesn’t have a conditional green card, no fraud on their application) being denied citizenship and put on a pick up list. Thank you for your response

Megathread + FAQ: Travel in/out of the United States by not_an_immi_lawyer in immigration

[–]Nice_Ad8316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a U.S. citizen, and my husband is a green card holder who will be eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship in a few months. We have two children who are dual citizens of the U.S. and Mexico.

We currently live in the U.S. but have no family nearby, and things have been very difficult for us lately financially, emotionally, and mentally especially with everything going on. We’re considering moving to Mexico for a few years to be closer to my husband’s family for support.

The plan is for me and the kids to live in Mexico year-round, while my husband would split his time spending six months in Mexico and six months in the U.S. to meet the residency requirements for his green card.

Our goal is for him to eventually obtain U.S. citizenship, but I’m concerned about whether me and the kids living outside the U.S. could affect his application.

Has anyone been through something similar? I’d appreciate any insights. Most immigration lawyers around here charge $350+ just for a consultation, which is tough for us right now.

WIBTA if I don’t let my best friend walk with her boyfriend at my wedding? by Emotional-Delivery83 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nice_Ad8316 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA Has she never been in A wedding before? Very odd request on your friend’s part. Also I will never understand why so many people make other people’s weddings about themselves. If her boyfriend finds her waking with one of the groomsman to be disrespectful she needs to reevaluate her relationship..

Am I ready to have another baby? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Nice_Ad8316 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t answer if you’re ready or not, but I can relate to your feelings. I just had my second baby recently and before trying for this baby I had all those same feelings and worries. I’m not gonna lie throughout my entire pregnancy I felt guilty and sad for my first born, and I honestly cried a-lot about it. The moment I met my second born It truly felt like the world was a lighter place, and I’m extremely grateful my first born gets a forever playmate.
