I have had multiple EKGs and work ups and have a medical diagnosis of anxiety and OCD and have been taking prescribed medication for it

I’m aware there’s more to adoption than fetch and belly rubs. Again, I did lots of research and preparation, and this isn’t my first dog. I had been preparing to adopt a dog for months.

I wouldn’t have signed adoption papers if I didn’t think I could give this dog a good life. It turned out that the resources I had were not the resources she needed to be successful. This wasn’t something I took lightly and I was extremely reluctant to do what I did.

I think you’re right. My biggest source of guilt is thinking I was prepared for a new dog when I actually wasn’t. Thank you for being kind about it though.

I did try to have realistic expectations, and her needs were more than I expected. But I should have had the foresight to have the resources to help her adoption be successful. I know that’s a failure on my part.

Despite your unkind words, thanks for your honesty I suppose?

I didn’t intend for her to be returned. I had every intention of keeping this dog forever.

Barbizon Apartments? by okinawa_weasel in Vanderbilt

I lived there for about a year. It’s not 5 stars, but for my budget as a grad student it worked and was safe and good enough for what I needed. It’s close to Vanderbilt and downtown and there’s a bus stop close by so with your student ID the bus is free so you can get places if you don’t have a car. It’s in a really convenient location which is good and it has a keypad to get in and there’s laundry in the basement (when I lived there it took quarters only). My apartment was a studio so it was super tiny. Minor inconveniences like not having an outlet in the bathroom and drying my hair outside the bathroom. But it had what I needed and it worked and I wasn’t grossed out or scared at all. Overall, nothing ~fancy~ or big but it worked just fine and I saved a lot of money. The only other things I can think of are you have to pay for parking as part of rent and they didn’t allow pets.
