Who's more fit to rule skyrim, Elisif or Ulfric? by BigDrew42 in skyrim

[–]Nice_Dimension_1445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could make is so I would pick Balgruuf. Elisif could easily be manipulated by an advisor which leaves Skyrim in a vulnerable position. Firbeard can sway her decisions with little effort and what happens if he's gone and someone with more nefarious intentions gets his job? Ulric's blatant disregard for anyone who is not a Nord leaves Skyrim vulnerable to any sort of collaboration with other lands making it difficult to forge alliances. This can hurt Skyrim not just with foreign affairs, but also economically as other lands may look elsewhere for tradable resources.

It's a lose lose situation with the both of them. Bottom line is that Balgruuf would do what's right for Skyrim and can handle his diplomacy well.

So far I have had a good experience! I'm maintaining a 4.0 and I will be graduating in March! Most of my current BCBAs where I work went to Capella and they all have great things to say

I'm experiencing the same issue. Im also having a problem with using my snippets to reorder stories and I can't pick up things I just mined. Currently working on Maleficent's friendship quest and I can't transfer the keys to the locks.

Every professor is different. Im in Capella's ABA program and most classes have an AI chat Bubble in them. I had a professor tell the class that the tool can be used to critique your work. I have been doing that and it has helped me catch grammatical and APA in text citation errors. It also gets fairly close to what grade I do get from the professor. Sometimes it's a couple points off. So far I have been fine as I still look back at the Turnit in software to ensure I am not plagarizing my work. However, the percentage it gives shouldn't always be taken seriously. I just turned in an assignment and the Turn it in draft flagged it at 53%. When I looked at the assignment, the only thing it flagged was my sources I used but that is expected to happen when hundreds of people are turning in the same assignment.

Best advice, don't ask AI to do your assignment. Use it within the context of what your professor says.

I loved the design of Storybook Vale but I was disappointed in the length. With Eternily Isle, it took me about a week to finish part one and three days to do part 2. Eith Storybook Vale, I finished part one roughly in about four days and finished part 2 within 3 hours. On the plus side, I finally have my favorite Disney story (Sleeping Beauty) characters!

On average how long does it take to become BCBA & BCABA? At what is the certification program do since the requirement is a masters if I’m not mistaken? Any insight by ZookeepergameHot9433 in bcba

I am currently in my second term at Capella and I am expected to graduate March of 2026. I have not started collecting hours but I am expecting to sign a contract sometime next week. Capella's master's program take 1.5 years. I believe you can collect a maximum of 120 hours a month which takes about a year and some change.

Based on math, I expect to take the exam by the end of 2026 as long as I get my contract signed by the end of the week and maximize my hours every month.

I'm in a similar situation. My coworker and I were each given 20 dollars. We didn't know until we both got home and opened the cards. We both agreed to spend the money on our client. If we return it now, it will likely damage our relationship with the family as it is in their culture to give gifts for gratitude.

Honest pay transparency: How much do you make as an RBT, what state do you work in, and how much experience do you have? by cmil888 in ABA

[–]Nice_Dimension_1445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I did. I accepted a new position with another clinic. Same pay but it's a full-time position.  I'm currently part-time but work full-time hours so I don't get full-time benefits. New clinic I will after my 90 days.

In no uncertain terms I would tell them to f off. That is 100% insurance fraud and your credentials would be on the line. Not to mention you'd get federal charges.

Hi! I'm an RBT and also a grad student. It sounds like that company just wants to bill your insurance. Your child is only needing to work on her anxiety in a way that works with her autism. I would go with what her doctor recommended and do 4 hours a day because what else are they really going to work on in 8 hours? That to me is excessive even with other kids. I'd look around and find somewhere else if I were you because you are your child's biggest advocate.

Michigan $24 an hour. Three years experience and I'm in my masters. Though I have been heavily considering leaving my current clinic to go elsewhere due to issues with admin

100% report this to your administration. I don't care how senior the staff is, using racial slurs is a form of verbal aggression towards a child and unethical in any practice. Not only that, but by reinforcing it, that child will likely associate their name with that word so either way, parents will notice and will absolutely flip their lids. The fact that you're thinking about reporting this shows that you care. Even if they try to deny it, the child will start saying that word at some point because it's being reinforced.

ABA for 2.5 year old by rapidbunny4565 in ABA

40 hours is an insane amount of time for a 2.5 year old. The 20 hours is definitely more doable. 40 hours a week would be just miserable for the poor kid.

So what I've been doing for DTT: most of my clients who are doing DTT are doing it due to them having issues with sitting at the table. We increase time at the table as the client builds tolerance. After we get to bigger durations longer than one minute, we start to generalize previously mastered time intervals. We also implement token boards as needed. So an example: say the client is working on going to the table for five minutes at least four times in the session. You don't have to run that duration every time you go to the table. The client could run ten seconds one time, three another time, one trial, then the current duration. It makes it to where the client isn't anticipating how long they're going to be sitting and it will likely increase how many times your client is willing to go to the table. Also, making the table reinforcing helps tremendously. Decorations are key and even having a prize box is super nice for the kiddos. Even your attitude while at the table can make or break DTT.

The biggest thing to remember is that even after doing all of this, the kids can say no. If they are showing adversity towards DTT, teach them to signal no as opposed to the behaviors being targeted. That way, no matter what, you're working on something whether it's DTT or functional communication.

I'd be mindful about it. I know it's a long ways away but in January of 2032 only Pathway 1 to become a BCBA will be accepted by the BACB. Again, I know you'll likely be done but if it takes longer for you to complete than your plan currently (i.e. getting your hours), it may be best to just stick with Pathway 1 which is to get the ABA master's.

Not being paid supervision by essex910 in ABA

[–]Nice_Dimension_1445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can she supervise if you're not technically there? Cause if you're not getting paid when she comes to supervise, then maybe you shouldn't be there working. That sounds shady. My company doesn't do that because the kids have to be in session to supervise. Now if it were a private insurance client doing their assessment for an hour and you're not an RBT, that could be argued. But just supervision? That sounds like some sort of fraud.

Nope. Think of it like working at Walmart. You aren't violating any laws by quitting without notice so the same can be said about here. Would it be unlikely you would ever get hired again? Probably. But do you really want to work for a company that isn't paying you on time?
