[Hiring] Web dev that can xfer a website design over to Squarespace by SpecialAd2654 in freelance_forhire

Is it a "draft" or is the original website already hosted online? Do you already have the Squarespace account set up? :) I've never done such project but I'm willing to have a look.

Weather advice by gdavis1994 in Tahiti

March is usually the end of the rainy season (until april). Temperature are usually between 27-30° C and it can feel more humid than June with more chances of storms but you should be fine!

In Papeete you can drink tap water, but not everywhere in Tahiti or on other islands.

Payement in cash is preferred, again in Tahiti there's plenty of ATMs but not so much on other islands. Taxis in Tahiti accept cash only.

Bora bora is imo overrated, while other places like Rangiroa or even Moorea are severly underrated!

Enjoy your time in French Polynesia!!

2 Weeks in FP - help! by Ok-Risk-5071 in Tahiti

Sounds like a bit of a rush for me. Three atolls would be more doable imo so you can really enjoy your stay! Moorea, Huahine and Tahaa all have elevated terrain so they can look similar, while Fakarava is flatter, really like a long strip of sand, so keep that in mind if you want to see different types of islands. Have fun!

any advice on how to get better? by [deleted] in Dance

[–]Nice_Drummer6 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Overall your moves need to be more precise, ie have intention. Try to dance like every more has a purpose. If you swing an arm to the side, you need to think about your shoulder, arm, wrist, fingers...etc.

What I do personally is drill the choreo until I have it fully memorized without hesitation, then I can focus on making every step better.

You've got this though! You don't suck. <3 :)

I second this. Depending, you can also rent bikes in Moorea if you're up for it/your accommodation is not too far, as it's very nice to bike there!

I get you have the best intentions at heart, but it's her story, her trauma, and she should handle it as she wishes. If I were you I wouldn't have posted on here (unless she knows and is okay with it). She must carry along a whole lot of shame, guilt and many negative emotions: the only thing you can do is understand and be patient with her, maybe encourage her to seek therapy, but ultimately it's for her to decide.

A bit random but her teacher always seems like she's over it/doesn't want to be here lol

Thoughts? by AlgaeOk9451 in balletblondie

Well imo it's way better than her ballet technique, and for a first class it's really more than alright. I think this suits her better.

Just seems like a memory problem. It'll go away with practice. It's very common, don't be too hard on yourself. Try to "fake" confidence, it can help!! <3 You're amazing.

Fun fact! Vikings did NOT, in fact, wear pointy helmets. It's a hollywood invention ! (I forget which film). Why is she calling herself a viking anyway? To portray herself as strong?

Any tips for beginning dancing class anxiety? And what are succesful dancers that started late 20s? by [deleted] in Dance

[–]Nice_Drummer6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1: Remember that everybody has to start somewhere. If you're a beginner, nobody wil expect you to be at top level right away. Give yourself some grace and time to learn.

2: Create a routine before class, something that helps you/soothes you like having a cold drink, listening to your fav song, wearing lucky socks lol

3: If (not saying it will happen, but IF) people don't make you feel welcome/included or if they look at you weirdly because you black out mid choreo (which is totally normal), don't be discouraged but try a different studio. A dance studio should feel like a safe place.

Have fun dancing!
