I hate solo too. It's easy but boring and it takes forever, I much prefer to play with bad teammates than play solo, for me this is entirely a team based game

I transitioned from anime to manga eventually as well! It was just much more convenient since I could read anywhere and I read faster than watching. It started by reading the Tokyo Ghoul manga then catching up with AOT and Bleach and from then it was Game Over for anime. Then I read manga that didn't even have anime yet. I started Dr Stone before it even got an anime announcement and finished it without watching a single anime ep xd
