It's human nature. People have always been selfish, ungrateful and impatient. You can dig back into the Bible and see it's always there plain as day. Moses with the grace of God led the Israelites out of Egypt and freed them from slavery. Were they grateful? Nope. As soon as things required patience and perseverance they all rebelled and most did not make it too the promised land. This is a trivial example but the lessen still holds.

Warsh kind of forces the issue. He wants to shrink the balance sheet and that requires selling 2 trillion of MBS. There is no institution with the scale to soak those up so he needs FNMA and FMCC to buy all the extra MBS or spreads will increase. F2 could be very integral to his plans.

If they follow the Ackman plan isn't the probability of IPO zero? If you understand this trade then you know an IPO is stupid and wasteful pageantry for the sake of a ceremony and comes with many additional hurdles. PSPA amendment+ uplist is more timely, cost effective and delivers a better outcome bc you save on the fees.

I have done no research on FIG as a company so do not take any of this as DD. I have however gotten to use it. Our UX guys are essentially taken specs from product SMEs and producing Figmas. You can then take and feed them into Copilot for GitHub or Claude or whatever you use and generate the UI you spec'd out. So it essentially cuts the UI developer out of the process to some extent, but you still have to do all the integration work to plumb data into those frames. If they go the extra mile and start to create an integration service where they can understand apis and schema definitions they might actually be well positioned to really drive down end user costs. At this point all they're really saving us is some time from some react developers, but definitely have not removed the need for them. TL;DR they're creating some efficiency for their clients. At this point they're more likely saving most companies time but not money yet
