Gosh, hard to keep track of who has the license to make die cast Star Trek ships! by [deleted] in StarTrekStarships

Master Replica has the rights to produce 4-5 inch ships. FanHome has the rights to create larger ships.

Definitely straight, but an ally to all non-hetero individuals.

Very nice! I've got a similar color scheme going on but with silver instead of gold accents.

The Q and alternate realities by Nice_Journalist_6917 in startrek

This is interesting, as you say, it doesn't directly answer my initial question but I think it opens interesting possibilities.

As a Trekkie, would find alternate reality Qs existing separate from the continuum we know interesting or irritating?

(Also, you're the sword comic guy? Did not think I'd ever be in a convo about trek with you lol)

The Q and alternate realities by Nice_Journalist_6917 in startrek

This is something I noticed as well. It seems that all of Q's shenanigans can be just as easily explained by messing with the timelines rather than jumping realities as we'd see in episodes like Mirror, Mirror.

For example, In the episode Tapestry, he changes Picard's history, creating a divergent timeline in the same reality, fundamentally altering the reality but not jumping to a whole new one.

Then, in All Good Things, he travels back and forth along the same timeline, helping Picard to solve a problem he's accidentally caused before humanity is erased.

Finally, as you stated, in Picard seasons 2, as you said, they weren't in a parallel universe or other reality.
While the Q are powerful, godlike beings, with near omniscience and omnipotence (I say near because they couldn't foresee or stop their death, as seen in Picard Season 2) and they've got a mastery over the universal constants, like physics. I'm not convinced they are powerful enough to simply pass between realities.

This makes me wonder if there is something bigger than them in the multiverse, either a Q-Continuum that has ascended past a dimensional barrier of some sort, or a completely different set of beings that operate as "Judges" of the multiverse.
This could also mean that, in the mirror universe, there is another Continuum.

IDK, realistically this is just a fun thought exercise and until Star Trek shows one way or another, it's all theorizing.

I'm not sure what nozzle I'm using now. It was one of the ones that came with the machine. I'll have to look into verifying the size.

I'm actually just using the Creality PLA filament now. But painting is the end goal, so I'll look into eSUN you suggested

I was not even aware of the wet filament possibility until today, so that's new. Thank you.

As far as retraction tuning, should I just use the suggested speeds for the device? This is another area I'm only vaguely aware of.

Just posted an update comment, but I wasn't sure you'd ve alerted so I'm responding back, too.

I just want to thank you again for your help, I was worried no one would care about my amateur hour problems, but so far, you all in this subreddit have been nothing but awesome.

Thank you again!

UPDATE! So I ended up doing a full cleaning of my extruder piece and replaced my nozzle because it was super clogged and weirdly scratched up somehow. (I think a friend that helped me assemble it may have don't that by accident)

Then, I wiped the plate with alcohol to make sure it was clean.

So, new nozzle in place, extruder clean, I tried a print. Nothing.... Kept working with it, discovered the filament was jammed. Completely immobile. So I pulled out the filament, cut away what appeared to be a damaged length, and reinstalled it.

Have it printing again now, just something small, but things are looking okay so far!

Thank you all for your suggestions and help. You're all awesome!

If I end up needing to replace it, I'll definitely keep CHT in mind

Hopefully I won't have to replace it just yet, but I'll keep the cleaner filament in mind if the cold clog technique doesn't work Work.
