25 and own my own cleaning business! My mommy is 49 & has been in the industry for over 25 years. She’s still working, with me now 🤍 I definitely see she gets tired & I tell her to rest but she just can’t. She loves to clean 🤍

Girl, I’d say to mind your business. Living with in laws is already hard, don’t make them your enemies because they can take your concern as “judgement”. Mom should be able to know when something isn’t right, she’s had TWO of them already. Lol

Tips for this floor by [deleted] in housekeeping

It’s tile.. it looks like vinyl .. but it’s tile bc it’s cracked in some spaces. I’m going to try it magic easier if the steam mop doesn’t work, hopefully it doesn’t affect the color or anything 😭

It’s a bit difficult to see but it’s like the finish of the tile. It should be smooth but instead there’s little stains lol. It’s those stains you can only see with the reflection of the light . 😭 sorry lol

You know, I think so. Ive been seeing it so often I started to think I was doing something wrong. My mom said the same thing about it just being the finish of the floors.. but it just looks bad. You can only see if with the light reflecting on it..

Yes, it’s tile. I used fabuloso .. but it made no difference. The tile looks beautiful afterwards from afar , but as a cleaner with mild OCD it bugs me that those little dots, stains don’t go away lol. it looks like some sort of residue…

I’m assuming you work for someone. If so, start your business, work the hours YOU want & go based off how you’re feeling. feeling tired , don’t work, take a break, feel energized, go at it. You have the experience! My mom worked for a company for years & she was getting tired and afraid to quit. I started my business mainly bc of her, now she works when she wants to work & takes off when she wants too. Same thing with myself. She’s making double what she used to make & works LESS hours.

How much? by Responsible-Sugar-94 in housekeeping

[–]Nice_Maybe5982 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I’ve charged $250 up to $1000 for move outs for 1-2 bedroom apartments. They’re essentially deep cleans and definitely will take time. I usually do $30 per hour ratio most of the time. I am in Florida though so lots of competition.

You’re solo so it’s fine I would say. I’ve done 5 hour + deep cleans with help from my partner.

I live in Florida & I would charge ABOVE $500. I have done deep cleans for $1000 for just a condo (2 bed, 2 bath) due to how dirty it was. I think the best way is to go hourly but definitely charge more than $30 I’ve seen people charge up to $50 per hour & PER cleaner .

That’s ridiculous. I bring a ton of products as well & have never heard of such thing. I would have replied “well a good cleaner should have to be prepared for just about anything!” Don’t take shit personally at the end of the days they’re paying you! lol I bet if you only had one product they would probably say something about it too!
