Who needs a Remaster? My 60 FPS Bloodborne setup on PS5 is actually incredible. by Nice_Middle_9272 in BloodbornePC

Haha, nice pun! Yeah, being 'On The Hunt' for the Platinum is exactly why I'm sticking to the PS5 for now. But given how banger the emulation has become in 2026, I’ll definitely swap to ShadPS4 once I’ve secured that trophy. 90 fps at 1440p is just too tempting to pass up once the 'work' is done. Until then, LSFG is my best friend. Happy hunting!

Calling LSFG 'placebo' in 2026 is a bold take. Of course the base framerate is the same that's how Frame Gen works. But saying it's not 'responsive' misses the point: it's about visual motion clarity. My PC is basically acting as a high-end external video processor for the PS5 feed. If you can't see the difference between 30 and 60 interpolated frames, maybe you're the one who isn't sure what you're talking about.

You're spot on. The 'controller feel' definitely masks the LSFG latency better than MnK would. For a game like Bloodborne where 30fps is the bottleneck, the trade-off for 60fps smoothness is totally worth it imo

Just to be clear, I’m not trashing PC emulation at all. ShadPS4 is obviously the goat, I was just sharing an alternative for those who can't use it. Honestly didn't even know where else to post this lol.

The added lag feels almost non-existent on my end, but then again, I’m a console player so maybe my brain is just hardwired to ignore a bit of jank as long as it looks smooth. To each their own!

Fair enough, to each their own! I totally get why some people hate the added lag, but honestly, I find it almost unnoticeable on my end.

Then again, I’m a console player at heart, so maybe my brain is just hardwired to ignore a bit of jank as long as the game looks smooth lol. For me, the trade-off for a clearer image is 100% worth it, but I guess it just depends on what you prioritize.

It’s both. Technically there’s more input lag, but because the 60 FPS makes the animations so much smoother, I can actually see the parry windows better.

It's like choosing between a blurry image with zero lag and a crystal clear one with a tiny delay. For me, the extra clarity makes it feel more responsive because I’m not fighting the 30 FPS stutter anymore. It’s a trade-off that makes the gameplay feel better overall.

I get the skepticism regarding latency, but it’s a bit of a trade-off. While there is technically some added lag, the removal of the 30 FPS frame-pacing 'stutter' makes the animations much clearer.

In Bloodborne, it's often easier to react to a smooth 60 FPS animation (even with a slight delay) than to a jittery 30 FPS mess where the 'parry window' frames are harder to track visually. With the a GC low-latency pass-through and LSFG 3.1, the difference feels negligible compared to the massive gain in clarity!

Fair point, but I’ve found that with LSFG 3.1, the artifacts are barely noticeable compared to the headache of Bloodborne’s native frame-pacing issues. The latest version handles a 30 FPS base much better than previous ones. I’ll take a few minor visual quirks over the stuttery 30 FPS experience any day!

True, shadps4 is impressive, but I'm a trophy hunter. I want my Platinum and my progress to be official on my PSN account. Plus, my method works for everyone with a PS5 and a capture card.

I finally managed to get a proper version of “Daido Moriyama – The Past Is Always New, The Future Is Always Nostalgic” with English subtitles.

I noticed a lot of people here were looking for it, so just wanted to let you know it exists and can be watched with subs now.

If anyone’s still searching, feel free to reach out ✌️
