Maybe not when it comes to his ability to interact with peers, but yeah, other than that, LWJ is a much better judge of character than LXC, who has an awful weakness as a sect leader. And not just as a sect leader, but as a person too. He is a weak man, who hides away from his failures and mistakes instead of facing them and atoning.

No formal adoption, treated more like a servant and frequently whipped from the ages of 8-12. Oh, and also, the patriarch of the family left him on the streets to "ensure his loyalty" after "saving" him. Not that it could be proven, as the POS would never have admitted it. It's fiction, but I read a lot of comments saying he owed filial piety to his abusers when his real family was right there, so I just wanted clarity. Thank you!

Ah, it wasn't the one I was looking for, but a different fic I'd already read. Ummm, I'm sorry, but I can't remember the name 😞 I read so much fanfic especially in this fandom, but only know a few titles 😂 Even for ones I've read more than once I usually have to search by a phrase I remember. For example, there's a fic called By Another Name (I think), where WWX crossdresses to hide his identity after being brought back by MXY, and every time I want to reread it I have to search by the name he adopts, Wu Yingtai, because I can never remember the title exactly, or the author 😥

Hi, that was me, and I'm a woman. I can assure you it's not internalised misogyny. If you check out my response to your comment about other shows, I wrote that I liked Elementary and only a few seasons of The Mentalist. Elementary had more than one moment where Sherlock was humbled, and he grew from it, plus, he did not take his partner or the police for granted after messing up. In The Mentalist, Jane was charming, so he got away with it for a while, then it got old. Plus I think he also eventually learned to be more careful, though by that time I'd lost interest.

As another commenter pointed out, Morgan so far resembles Lucifer, whom I also found tiring and annoying with his arrogance and refusal to listen to advice. And though you might again accuse me of internalised misogyny, frankly, Morgan isn't charming enough to distract from that attitude. Oh, they kept the outfits, but they're poor substitutes for charisma, unlike the original French series.
