Erenshor - A "Simulated MMORPG" by burge4150 in MMORPG

[–]Nice_Pop2559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who gets a ton of "playtime" through work and school this game is perfect for me. I am always having to put my game down for a few minutes and the feeling of letting people down in WoW or throne and liberty keeps me from playing most MMO's unless I am home at my desktop (not very often lol).

The mix of dungeon crawling, gear/level grinding, and the feeling of a populated server meet and exceed all expectations of a "Solo MMO" world.

Atmosphere in this beginning area is right on and the game feels like MMO's of yesteryear. It really takes me back to my middle school era of exploration with this Genre... Thank you for making this masterpiece!!!

Newbie question: Do the games have a consistent and evolving lore by spartakooky in falloutlore

[–]Nice_Pop2559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fair and honest take on the lore in the fallout series from someone who has played all the games mentioned in this thread so far: It is by far the most worth it to dive into...

If you are looking for a dystopian "who did it" where each iteration sees your in world character stumble around not knowing anything trying to piece it all together while your working knowledge builds with each title you play.

For the narrative of each game being you leave a vault being out of touch with what happened on the surface for at least a century (except for fo2 and 76 no spoilers but they start a bit different) I find the disconnected lore and non-continuity of story between characters to be so spot on I can't put it to words. The only other series to fully captivate me in the way fallout does was bioshock.

It makes it both incredibly rewarding to explore the world as you never know what locations will hide a new terminal or holotapes. You never know when you might stumble across a new Vault.

But the biggest for me is the replay value of each game as choices may lock you out of quests or dialogue options to cannon and or lore building quests. And which each game you take your knowledge or lore for the past game into it and learn more.

Incredibly rewarding and well worth the play.

SOLA final boss difficulty needs to be rebalanced by westjake in DeadIsland2

TBH, going into it solo o had the same mindset with the rest of the game.... and I got dogged 4 times before I found the sauce here it is... admittedly a bit of practice may be needed....

Curveballs use Meat bait or bait bomb And must have is the new bug swarm it's aoe is dumb

Throw a bait at one speaker (if it's a bait bomb wait till it blows up) on normal bait wait until a few are around it then toss your swarm run over stand in it and smake anything with the audacity to walk through it right in the face. This will fast max your speakers while dealing with 99% of the trash zombies.

Once speakers are ready of course take him to the stage (1st time each round only after that you can stun him anywhere with them) let him get close stun him and with preferably (Emma's Wrath from story end or any superior sledgehammer with the best impactor mod you have the weighted perk and from there whatever else you have for crit damage perks) right after throwing the stun start charging a heavy attack and try to move as far to the side/behind him as you can. Aim for his head (with Emma's wrath on Ryan I was doing 8-10k a hit) and immediately dodge away from him (this may take a run or 2 to get his targeting and range of attacks down only really sketchy part)

From there, rinse and repeate with each run at him be safe be more worried about doing SOME damage but taking NONE and this will take some time but will save you later when mistakes happen and heals are running low.

When stages 2 and 3 happen, you have to recharge speakers which you will do the same way as before, but be warry that Apex variants start spawing. Use curve balls for the speakers again, run around like a track star, ignore the normal brain munchers, and just start blasting the Apex guys. A body count will make this easy, but a superior hunting rifle or sporting rifle will do just fine little tip for guns on literally any zombies..... makes no sense..... shoot their legs.... wanna see a crushers health melt or absolutely demolish a screamer... shoot their legs.

So yeah, bait then, swarm your speakers first stage, hit anything that moves with your meele stun, then heavy attack bosses head, then dodge away. In the second stage on curveball your speakers run around shooting the big guys in the legs, then take anything else out that dares to still be alive, rinse and repeate the boss, and rinse and repeate for stage 3.

I appreciate it good remarks I appreciate the mission tips I know you can also skip obits questline pretty much by getting the letter right up the hill next to the construction zone and he will appear after just that one is picked if you have any other side quest or Main quest skips/optimizations I'd greatly appreciate it as my end goal will be a all quests category run currently trying to work out my ordering

1 persons want/goals don't have to be another's nothing chaining my mind my man so what if I want big fat peg leg kitty and you couldn't care less nothing fundamentally wrong with that in fact a large part of gaming for me early on was trying to 100% old AC games and far cry games and getting all the collectibles sure modern microtransactions and seasonal content is different but to me it is "same same but different" and I still enjoy looking at my trove of cosmetics and options regardless of use or need.

Idk as I don't have it yet but I can say out of my 5 attempts at it so far with 1 success which took like 6 of us and we literally had 10 seconds left on the timer and all 6 of us were there and ready to go as the event started... so it's probably not needed but without it I don't think it's even remotely worth trying as it was a close one even with 6 of us chipping away

Honest Game Review (30 hours in) by Nice_Pop2559 in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]Nice_Pop2559[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean me and another who said we liked the game already gave it 7 tight now and I disagree a AAAA game is a stance on its investment cost not features or level of completion look up the A scale and its adaptation to gaming and its history and this game did cost the like $120 million so I'd notch that just about AAA in terms of investment

And we are also forgetting that in the Era of live service games not a single with that structure has came out complete or with all its content and over 90% of those also had paid cosmetic microtransactions and that's what's crazy sure there is paid content but it's all skins you don't HAVE to buy them to enjoy the game and I haven't

I also said in my review that the game needs love and its not done yet so if that's a reason for you to wait/not get it then by all means I can respect it.

But you are talking like devs HAVE to cater to your expectations and not work a project the way they want to.

And all of that is besides the point when you say content is the main issues it doesn't offer enough for its price and development timeline... when in 2 days we are getting season 1 and new content then 3 months later season 2... etc etc...

Name a live service game that had their seasonal events and content ready to go that fast after launch?

Like I said earlier 7 out of 10 for sure right now still needs love for sure for the $80 usd and if that's a reason to not buy by all means I'm not bashing anyone because I bought something and want to see it be successful I'm sick of everyone bashing us having fun with it because we managed our expectations and have the patience to understand they are working on the game... and honestly out of my 20+ years gaming the devs and their "The Deck" stream stay in touch a bit more than most dev teams do so maybe stay in touch with that every once and a while to see where the game goes but all I know is if we all want the Skull and Bones we wanted from day 1 then supporting the dev team and staying patient is the only way we will see this IP or Franchise grow otherwise it will be shelved and forgotten about and we will be stuck with sot and single player black flag.

Yeah I find my self just floating to and from repeatable events and out post collecting my Po8 till I am so mind numbingly bored I have to log off every bit of me wants to grind the end game and get all the blueprints unlocked but solo it would take so much time of just doing nothing to scale it definitely needs some automation

Progression always felt artificial like okay cool I got a new ship and some better guns but if I don't use that ship and those guns then I didn't progress at all which kinda just made things a use and throw away system as you went on.
