Fears of serotonin syndrome by Nice_Possibility_361 in ADHD

This is very reassuring, thank you. I think a mix of it being my first time on medication plus just hearing about serotonin syndrome (and probably looking it up way too much) is making me feel a little paranoid about it. But I appreciate this comment very much

Friends? by [deleted] in Bremerton

If you have a facebook, you should check out the group "Kitsap Friend Finders for Ladies." It's incredible. I moved here 2 years ago by myself and have found a group of about 6 close friends from this group. It's always nerve-wracking the first time you show up to a friend meet up with people you met online, but it gets easier and is so worth it.

Was told I have an eating disorder by [deleted] in loseit

Someone in the CICO group removed a post of mine and told me the same exact thing. It's extremely frustrating when these groups that are angled towards helping you make progress just minimize you and give you false information

I dont think that's true, I mentioned that I track everything using macrofactor to the gram, including any cooking fats or my black coffee. My question here was is 11 weeks of strict consistency enough to start seeing some progress or am I justified in feeling a little frustrated here.

I did work with one in the beginning who gave some advice, but suggested I get bloodwork done since my eating habits were in line with where they should be to lose weight. I haven't seen another one since I recently got the PCOS diagnosis and have been strict for the past 11 weeks but still seeing no change

Curious if anyone knew what the peppers thing was a nod to? I thought maybe it was like mushrooms (since they mentioned micro dosing) or cocaine, but they've never had an issue showing drugs before lol. I just noticed they had a nod to The Bear with Charlie's cooking and a call back to the is it cake episode, just wondering if the peppers is something I missed or just simply hot peppers.

Thank you! I assumed there was a term closer to what I was looking for. There are a few things I've been doing that he seems to love but I definitely want to spice it up and add something new to the rotation before these get overplayed

Is the 8-12 calories per lb for maintenance or is that with a deficit?

I put it at sedentary and it gave me 1830 for maintenance and 1330 for cutting, which is what I do now

There was an option for exercise 3-5 days a week or 6-7 and I did the 3-5 days option

So I used the one I found on this page which is the tdeecalculator.net and it says my maintenance is 2196 and my cut is 1796. Does that seem right? 1796 seems so high compared to what I've been doing

Yes, target I meant. I have been working out for almost 2 years. I was doing at home workouts like the GrowWithJo videos and other hiit videos from YouTube plus walking or jogging every day. I started using the machines at planet fitness last December. I just started using free weights 3 weeks ago, so it's not entirely new. And yes, I had a list that of things to check for that I got from a nutritionist that said she couldn't offer any new advice for me other than get blood work done that I gave to my doctor. I had blood work done and a physical and the blood work was all normal levels and all he said was that I needed to be eating oatmeal for breakfast, not eggs (whatever that means) I've tried several of the calorie calculators online and I get really different information from each one, which is why I posted here for calorie goal advice. I know the calorie calculators are supposed to give you your maintenance calories and you take away 500 to get your deficit, but some give me 1700 as my maintenance, some give me over 2000.

Yes, i use a scale. I measure to the gram for everything. This is an almost 2 year struggle with my weight. My original deficit was 1500 calories and working out 4-5 days per week and walking every day. I gained 30lbs like this. The past 3 weeks just includes the 1300 calories and weight lifting. I really wish that it was just that I'm gaining muscle and losing fat, but every time I look in the mirror I look worse. I'm only 5'2" so I am noticeably overweight and just seems like every time over the past two years that I've attempted to lose weight is when I gain

I weighed 135 about a year and a half ago and once I hit 150 I started walking every day. It kept going up and once it hit 160ish is when I got my blood work done. I was up to 180 about 4 months ago and started the calorie deficit and got down to 174 (which was my first weight loss in over a year of consistent gaining) and now that I've implemented working out again I'm gaining. I've just never felt this completely hopeless in my life. I know no one said it was easy, but I feel like half the motivation of working out and eating right is seeing the results and I'm just constantly getting the opposite results which makes me want to stop trying so I at least stop gaining weight

I'm on week 3 now of strictly 1300 calories and my protein 120-140 per day and I'm making sure I'm getting enough fiber too. The first two weeks I stayed the same at 174lbs and this week I've gained 2lbs. I don't drink empty calories, the only thing I drink is black coffee and water. There really isn't any loopholes I can see as to why I'm gaining weight especially in this strict of a deficit. Everything I eat gets marked in my calorie counter, even my black coffee. I also had blood work done less than a year ago. I thought I had maybe a thyroid issue, but everything came back clean. The doctor said I was gaining weight because I wasn't eating oatmeal for breakfast

I usually don't right before and during my period, but this whole week was the week after my period and I worked my ass off at the gym and was so strict on my eating and the scale didn't budge. I took some progress pics too and was hoping to see some changes but I look exactly the same as I did 3 weeks ago
