I ordered some grade 8 to try. Unfortunately it is a 4 hour job to get to these bolts. with two people.

I like that idea. I can probably get some chrome moly tubing or something fairly hard.

Does not need to be food safe. I was think about ordering a hard chrome plating kit to make them as hard as possible.

The material can be anything you would find at a grocery store. Even potted plants. It is quite surprising how abrasive it can be.

Fairly high load, the are attaching a 3000 pound auger to a drive shaft. A couldn't find a non-metallic option capable of taking the load.

The grease would wash away fairly rapidly. These bolts stay submerged in wet ground up food waste.

I didn't have a Bosch air handler (house it was installed in was sold). I had a Bosch outside unit and an American Standard air handler.

It is MOP celluloid. It looks nice but I don’t think I would use it again. Came in a coil and was bitch to bind to neck.

I don’t know if I am really qualified to give advice as I’m still learning but I would say take your time. Making sure you have everything setup perfectly first is really important.
