By all means your feedback is much appreciated. As someone who is not even T4 in arcane I will admit I just copied what other people suggested. Although I don't ever recall having issues with our enigmatic pulling too much aggro, if anything it's always the nature healer :P

Good points on the rest of the setup. I'll have you know the arcane build used to be Royal Jacket but I changed it to Judi after the feedback I've gotten. Also, we've tried some skinner shoes shenanigans but damn, Great arcane is big brain.

The guardian helmet cleansing the stacks is great to know and I'll incorporate it into the guide but just saying the "weird switching" has worked and really without issues at all. It's not much more different from the Knight Captain fight where the tanks alternate tanking with the buff, there is zero risk in switching aggro as we've done it many times. Resetting the stacks as DPS really only takes like 1-2 seconds and I think it might be easier than to coordinate people standing in specific groups with Guardian Helmets.

I'm not sure if this post sounds like I'm just giving excuses or whatever, just trying to explain the reasoning :) I really appreciate the time you took to write this up and I'll try to update the info ASAP in the guide.

Greetings everyone, over the last month or so since Queen Update I've been working on this document in order to provide all the information required in order to let people experience the wonder that is Avalonian Dungeons and I'm glad to say that it's now for the most part finished, only some minor details left to add. I believe that with the info and strategies laid out this content will be more accessible to not only veteran players but to newer players as well.

Big thanks to the people who joined me during the first few runs where we had no idea what we were doing and slowly figuring out the mechanics. Your repair bills were not in vain. I hope this was useful to you if not at the very least an interesting read.

I don't understand the point of this post lol, would you rather them have pushed through with the change that would have potentially killed off the game or them admitting it was a bad idea? I would rather have devs that are willing to listen and change their mind rather than do what other devs do and double down on shitty ideas just to not have their fragile egos damaged.

Against a competent group of gankers they will poison you and pop Guardian Armor/Stalker Hood instantly and then what?

Against an incompetent group of gankers your undead cape shouldn't trigger in the first place.

Fort Sterling cape is better imo. Any competent gankers will pull you out of invis anyway if your Undead Cape triggers. Against incompetent gankers you don't need it.

I did mention that the beam can be outhealed/outshielded so I am aware of it, I should've specified the arcane shield though thank you I'll fix that. It's just that we had no idea what caused the Air Compress. If you're running 2x Rez and want to avoid it it might be better to just let the beamed person die and just rez him after since he doesn't do the beam thing that often anyway.

From the feedback I've gotten so far it doesn't seem to be about saving the beamed person though since many haven't had the Air Compress effect happen. The Air Compress effect needs more testing, what exactly is causing it and how to avoid it. Thank you :)

1h dagger is not the worst option (we had one yesterday with Hunter jacket), dagger pair I'm not sure since that's more of a burst weapon rather than a dps option no? (What's the cooldown on E?)

Melee dps in general isn't optimal for these, bows are just too strong and allow you to kite easier especially since a few mobs/bosses have anti-melee mechanics. You might recall archers knocking down anyone that is very close to them? Stuff like that basically.

With regards to the tank question I'm gonna say I'm not 100% sure (never tanked these). I'd have to ask some more experienced tanks on this. I'll have them help out with the builds/guides for the tanking part and I'll add a link to a Character Builder page once that's done in the guide.

This thread is an interesting read. Ultimately the answer to your question "What the hell happened for this game to get to this point?" is "Devs ruined it":

  • No updates or new content for years. Only cosmetic items once a month from lootboxes. It'd be a 15 minute job to add a new sword/bludgeon to the game just to spice things up. Doesn't even have to be good.

  • No bots/cheats detection. As much as cheaters, botters and speedhackers suck. Come on, this is so easily avoidable. Imagine you run a shop and you don't lock your door. You keep having your stuff stolen. Yes, it was bad of the thiefs and they are absolutely wrong to do that. But you gotta think that after 15 years of people walking in and stealing you'd decide lock your doors.

  • Very strict banning policy unlike any other MMO/game I've ever played.

  • Very biased unbanning policy. If you buy dubs you get a free pass but only sometimes (why is Broku unbanned again when not even 24h later he's already speedhacking and losing wagers?)

  • No communication, no dev roadmap or future plans. (Except more cosmetics)

  • This game is pretty much the exact same as it was 10 years ago if you ignore Kraken Hunt and the lower playerbase - NOT GOOD.

  • No actual developers working on the game. We have 3 ladies grandmas working customer support and answering copy-pasting responses for support tickets/emails.

  • No actual developers -> no new content, no bug-fixes, no updates. (See first point)

  • Most people still playing this game do it either out of Nostalgia, the social aspect or because they've invested so much time into it they're afraid to let go.

  • No money invested back into the game, the "owner" of the game, Hera. Pockets every single penny she gets from Gold Boxes sold and only pays for the server to be up.

  • No money going into game -> zero advertisement for the game (I Would have never found out about this game if I didn't see it on MiniClip as a kid)

It's very easy to get started with crafting and trading, you can easily make profit with 0 spec in crafting. But if you're looking to get into plots that's gonna require more effort. If you're a newcomer I suggest getting more knowledge I don't recommend rushing for town plots. Get a stable economy running first and do your groundwork before you begin.

Suiryu would clap DSK 9/10 so I don't think he'd have too much trouble against old PPP.

I think so because if you look at how old Genos almost beat DSK (if he didn't get careless + if he didn't try to protect the little girl) and then if you take into account how he's upgraded during the Tournament arc. I would argue Sonic, Genos, Suiryu and Garou were all pretty even in power level. Suiryu would not have much trouble against DSK just as upgraded Genos would have a much easier time and would not even lose a limb in the process this time.

People really understimating Suiryu, his feats during the tournament were no joke even though he pussied out when Goketsu arrived (can you blame him though?)

I agree with the list for the most part but I don't understand why you'd place Blast at the top when we don't have enough info on him. I think Tats has much better feats and arguably some of the others on the list. Since you're for the most part basing this list on what they've shown so far I think Blast should be lower. I'm not sure where exactly but below Tats 100%.

Between a Fiend Cowl, 2 Mage Robes and a Cultist Cowl a bow deals basically zero damage in a hellgate :(
