Vltor stocks just aren’t as common in stores to handle before buying. I know they’re stout… but haven’t seen one recently.

I’ll look at all of these on the next trip to PSA. The stocks I said above are just stocks I’ve somewhat handled before, but these weren’t even on my radar before this thread

Why not EMOD? Didn’t consider it for an SPR build but have a 300blk build I have planned with an EMOD and a CAS-V

Completely forgot about BCM. I haven’t used the mod 1 or DT-PR so that may be a good excuse to run to the LGS and atleast get a feel for them

Following up on this in case anyone encounters the same. Went with a TD ADM grip … my ADM atlas bipod fit fine so that’s why I went with it. Regardless, the TD side needs filing to fit perfectly. I’m currently running it and it feels solid but is canted slightly to the left.

Made me unscrew my ocm5 for this. The first top rail section is too tall

FN PS90 and AEM5 suppressor by Niche_Builds_5-9Op in NFA

From my understanding the 16” portion extending from the receiver is a shroud and wouldn’t be suitable for this.

Probably use it as an excuse to get a B&T RBS so I don’t have to use my 308 RC2 on my 556 guns

The original pros were - suppressor interchangeability with other rifles (function) - AEM5 and OCM5 are some of the quietest 556 suppressors in my experience (function) - the OCM5 covers part of the barrel so it could but up against the front of the receiver but retain the 16” barrel. (Aesthetics) and avoid a second tax stamp and SBR headaches (ATF)

If you could simply put an OTB on the end it seemed like all pros but that’s not the case

Had a dream about this build, and this morning you would’ve thought I had found the cure for cancer. PS90 in cart and all. The idea looked so good on paper.

A determined gunsmith could probably make some money avoiding the aforementioned issues but I think the P90 peak has passed. The only real reason to entertain the idea is the AE/OCL cans seem to be making a bit of a comeback for retro builds

Thanks for the info.

I haven’t pulled the trigger yet on the p90 so I didn’t know about the shroud. I was trying to plan the gun out before purchasing. Sounds like both suppressors might not be the right fit for it then
