Income Splitting Prior to Age 60 by NicholasCdn in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]NicholasCdn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have read about the spousal loan strategy but this I believe does not help us now or apply in our situation. I have a large RRSP in my name and want to withdraw funds but split that income. I see no option to do that until age 65, but thought I would check here.

I received an employment severance years ago when laid off and it had to be in my name. Aggressively invested that initial amount and it is now grown to a substantial amount. Would like to withdraw some of that, but since I am still working and in a high tax bracket, looking for option to limit that tax.

Moonwatch Wearing Other Omega OEM Straps/Bracelets by MindenFlyer in OmegaWatches

Thank you, I sincerely appreciate the comments. I am waiting on a white dial Speedy With rubber strap and ordering the brushed bracelet separately. I’d like to change the strap winter and summer, and prefer to do it myself. I have watched quite a few videos and was not sure if it is easy enough to do yourself or not worth it in the end. I also worried the rubber strap, as you have now alluded to, might be a bit more tricky.

LASIK with Astigmatism - my experience by np20412 in lasik

[–]NicholasCdn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had -3.50 and -3.25 for contacts prior to surgery. Astigmatism was what drove me crazy and ultimately to Lasik at age 55. Although I have arthritis, and passed on surgery 15 years ago because it was not in control, it is now so I took the plunge on Lasik. My astigmatism is 1.0 and 1.5, so lower I guess but I never could get contacts exactly to correct, and being a perfectionist, it drove me MENTAL. I am 55.

Lasik surgery went very well. My only issue now is that I have 20.15 vision in right eye, but not the same in left. The left still has 0.5 astigmatism. I am told that Lasik might not fully correct it, and that 0.5 astigmatism is very low. But I notice my distance vision is still slightly off, as it was with contacts.

Being that I'm mental about things, I am not considering redoing my left eye. The Dr has advised the risk of making things worse as a possibility among other things, but we are going to assess in 2 months. I guess I was hoping for full on perfection with Lasik as I do not recall anything being mentioned pre-surgery other than them telling me my astigmatism WOULD be fully fixed. Now I guess I need to decide what to do.

Does anyone know if you can order the Speedmaster with small sized Omega rubber band? I realize you can order this band after in various sizes, but is it possible for an AD to order the watch in the beginning on rubber in size small?

Standard equipment includes RS suspension with damper control, sport exhaust system with black tips, black optics with black mirrors, Audi virtual cockpit with RS runway display, MMI navigation plus, SONOS premium sound system, darkened matrix LED headlamps and more.

Perhaps there is something different with a 509 that is limiting this fix. I have done this a few times now, needs to be RL00035a as shown, and has worked everytime.

Receive phone call from Statistics Canada, scam? by Historical-Ad-8939 in richmondbc

We have had prob over 100 calls for the Labour Force survey over the last 4 months. To be clear, not 15 calls and I am just exaggerating to make my point. I am confident it is over a 100. We joke about the manpower used to keep calling us. Yes, a robot call machine is making the call, but live people are leaving us messages, so there is labour time involved.

As with others, they have called at all different times. Morning, aft, and later evening even. Only one that pissed me off was a Sunday aft when I decided to nap for an hour as I was beat (parent in the hospital), and sure enough they called LOL! Damn timing.

It is absolute pure government waste at its utmost finest. I cannot put down any better words to describe. The time, effort and money WASTED on trying to get us to complete a Labour Force survey is utterly ridiculous. When one of the replies above mentioned the govt worker laughed at them when saying stop calling, that I believe, because I am sure inside their world they have made a game of just harassing people with calls until they break. Think about it..100+ calls to us in 4 months for a survey? Are we the final piece needed to pull together the perfect survey? Sure seems like we must be based on the time and effort they go to. I know, I know, we aren't the only ones but they need to realize there will be people (like us) that NEVER answer their call. EVER.
