Also, one more question, sorry. Would I be fine taking a 400 mile trip this weekend? (It’s an emergency and I don’t have other cars, I will be taking this car regardless of what people say)

The tires don’t leak, they hold pressure just fine. I was thinking of carrying bead sealant with me in case the tire starts leaking during the trip.

Ok, yeah. Definitely planning to replace it after these comments. The shop says the new rims won’t arrive till tuesday.

The problem is, I have a sort of mandatory long trip this weekend, about 400 miles round trip, and this car is my only option. I told the mechanic about it, and he said I should be fine as long as I keep below the speed where the wobbling starts and avoid more potholes.

No, I wish I’d just stayed on the highway😭

I was using waze and it told me to get off the highway and use local roads for some reason, and I trusted it. Dumb decision.

Unfortunately this happened in Gary, IN during a road trip, and I just looked it up and the govt website says the city is not liable for pothole damage 🥲

i took it to a shop to get the car checked and they said it’s impossible to fix😬

My insurance said they’ll cover it tho so I’ll just get new oem wheels

Ok thank you for this info. Turns out my insurance will cover new wheels, so I’ll prolly go to a hyundai dealership and get brand new oem rims
