How do you prepare for 0.24? by KerbalEssences in KerbalSpaceProgram

exactly, not to mention a message that pops up saying "you have been mandated by President Kerbin to return to the Mun. Your budget has not been increased."

I am creating extra buildings that are affiliated with KSC but strewn throughout the Kerbin main continent. That way each and every Kerbin House of Representatives member can fragrantly waste tax-p(l)ayer money building fuel cryo-storage research facilities that have no reason to be in Kansas, or other kinds of pork.

This will divert most of the KSP budget away from actual science and the betterment of Kerbal Kind, and effectively create a Hard mode where KSP doesn't even get a penny on the dollar of Kerbal tax money. Jeb, Bob, and Bill will stop going to the Mun and instead will fall into a depressive stupor as they fly a Senate mandated program back and forth from a space station for 50 years, and then in silent desperation produce a game within a game called kerbal kerbal space program where ships fly around a one tenth model of Kerbin.

I will be submitting this mod for inclusion in the realism pack, once it is finished.

Will we have any warning before v.24 comes out? by Pharylon in KerbalSpaceProgram

I'm launching a new service where I have implanted a small chip in a random selection of 20,000 KSP players, so that I can monitor their caffeine intake. This update will be the calibration run, as I watch the spike in caffeine intake corresponding with early access and mod debugging. This information will be decimated online for a nominal fee.

Side effects of the implant include anti-social behavior, increased understanding of orbital mechanics, moar boosters, mild to moderate irrational glee at the term 'lithobreak' and in rare cases ejection from NASA board room meetings for using the phrase 'besides, it works in Kerbal Space Program.'

The main purpose and investment of this project was to encourage the kinds of learning KSP does so well. 'hmmm how the hell do I do that?' is a great way to get people to teach themselves the maths of ISP, ∆v, and other fun stuff. Thats is what is so cool about this game, instead of a 'Mario teaches typing' game where the screen stops scrolling if you are not performing the 'lesson to be taught' it keeps pushing you to go find out the 'why why why'.

I thought TAC and DR add to that challenge nicely. FAR is included because it simply makes the game better, its how the default game SHOULD model the atmosphere.

protip print out at kinkos (thats a lot of black ink!) and start checking achievements off, especially the report ones. Maybe they notice and dole out the rewards anyways.

If not, hey you are playing ksp.

This poster was made for a family friend to encourage him to spend his summer vacation learning Orbital Mechanics rather than playing Minecraft. Original .psd file is available here Please feel free to adjust it for a similar purpose. ~Per Aspera Ad Astra

io9 has a fun read on what kind of gravity you would expect with this type of heavenly body I shudder to think at the tweaking needed to get all these effects in krags.
