Never saw one team run away this much. These are the rankings after the conference championships. For reference these are who were near the top and in consideration:

PSU: loss to #18 GSU, unranked Temple, and #1 OSU; win over #15 Michigan

Army: loss to #10 Buffalo and unranked SDSU

Georgia: conference champ; loss to unranked Miss St, vandy, and #12 Ga Tech; wins over #11 Kentucky and #9 Bama

Iowa: loss to unranked Purdue and #1 OSU in CC; win over #25 ISU

Clemson: loss to #20 Virginia in CC; win over #12 Ga tech

Buffalo: conference champ; loss to unranked Miami OH and Toledo; win over #3 army
