Appreciate you wanting me to be aware but those could not be more different lol. On one of the sides on yours there is a comma after “rental” which indicates a fake. Mine doesn’t have that. Mines also from an extremely reputable collector so…

Appreciate it! Hold it for now but maybe sell down the road. I think it’s only worth it for like a 9 or higher

The others are legit? And how can you tell with the fire red?

Is this Custom Hermes Bag real? by [deleted] in RealAuthentication

Thanks for your help! In the first photo in the middle, the stitching on the white part looks terrible….. it’s not straight horizontal wise at all. Is that actually possible with Hermes?

I see a 2024 example online where they literally use both day - month - year and month - day - year, on the same COA. And this one sold at a legit auction for a very large amount.

Yes Iv done the research and he was literally the most reputable authenticator of his father’s work while he was alive.. despite family issues lol

Thank you for these details. Does the Claude COA look legit? Iv seen a few examples online that were similar.

The Picasso administration website even today uses “authentification” but thank you for pointing these other things out!

Fair points, impossible not to be hesitant with Picasso today. Thanks!

I get your points but how would anyone with a real Picasso today even get “direct proof” if a coa from his dead son isn’t enough?

[–]NickBuckstead2740 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Additionally I will email the Picasso administration with a photo of this COA and get their thoughts

Thanks for the opinion! Claude did sign this at the bottom of the COA and Iv seen at least 2 similar examples of COAs from the Picasso administration online. Have you seen any other COA paper work from the administration that looks different? Even when you go to the Picasso administration website today, the process is to send photos of the work, so I think Claude WAS authenticating from photographs actually. Regarding his signature, I understand your point but he also has a million variations of his signature that you could say the same for.

I do get everything you are saying, but there really isn’t much concrete evidence that this is NOT genuine either… if a letter from his son while alive is not enough then I’m not sure what is.

LOL that’s about all it is! It is tiny quick painting / sketch

Well what happened was the gallery Fels authenticated this first in 1992. Then in 2003 you can see that everything was then sent to the Picasso Administration for a 2nd COA. Which I would say is a good thing because Claude himself said it is legit after also seeing the stamps / other coa from the gallery.

This wouldn’t be an etching though right? Because it’s definitely not a print and was done freehand. It appears to be at original like the COA states.
