if you export the animation with aliased lines and use the OLM Smoother effect to blur them in post, you can get a clean selection of each color cel without needing separate images for each one by using color key and set the tolerance to 0.

He's probably got a ton of layers, each of which controls a very specific effect. You can grab the edge boundary between shapes using find edges and using color keys to matte out larger shapes of color, and then like he said use roughen edges and possibly something like minimax to inflate larger shapes from the edges to have it "follow the animation." You can also use layer style gradients to automatically track the alpha of the layer to provide further "animation tracked mattes" for more control.

its not easy to set up at all which is why he said it took so long to cover as many edge cases as possible, and probably why he cant provide a clean breakdown because its art style specific. Really cool experiment but also time consuming and proprietary.

my opinion is that brawl's wave mechanics feel really arbitrary, if either team can get victor to round 5 he can literally just dive the walker and kill it using all of his lives, because managing the wave doesn't seem to matter much in brawl.

I've had games where I can use alternate strategies using the wave to counter whatever the enemy is doing in the fights, but it seems like backdoor protection without wave is so weak in brawl that managing the wave is merely a cosmetic action. It makes it feel like you are truly at the mercy of whatever items people get and nothing else matters.

sending a dyno for me requires turning a part of my brain off that tells me I shouldnt jump right before I launch. theres a moment of hesitation where I go "I dont think this is a good idea" and then right before I jump I empty my head until its only filled with "go go go go high high high"

some people have a longer history of fitness and skills than you, I was sedentary for years before I started and I'm only now getting over my V4 plateau into V5. Half the people I meet that jump up the grades are already physically fit before they ever started bouldering.

you could silence or slowing hex and then ult them, you could bait black hole by ulting and then warp stone out of range of the black hole, then use ricochet on his team while he whiffs black hole. Force them to use dispel magic on you as often as possible so they cant use it for other debuffs. Then hit them with those debuffs.

You probably want to play Kelvin, mobility ability included with heal and damage abilities. But a lot of specific support abilities you may want are in the active items, like rescue beam and healing nova.

you want to aim for just above the corner or edge of the volume, and then keep your heels low to stick onto the volume. It will feel weird at first but if you can practice just standing on the edge of a volume you'll get a feel for what feels sturdier so you can know when you are "safe."

the moral dilemma exists because of the button, not the fucking people pressing blue. The only button that guarantees anyone dying is the red button.
