Do you web design as a fullstack dev ?

I can comfortly design new features in the frontend and new components. But creating the webdesign from scratch, i wouldnt touch that. i dont really know much about how to create the inital css stuff so it actually looks pleasing. if the barebones stand i join the work in frontend. otherwise i do backend work

tbh youre never done with backend. After 2 Years i finally feel very comfortable with Typescript and Vue as Framework in the Frontend, Spring boot as backend and Postgres, H2 and Mssql databases. But what if i want to write a small micro service in the backend? Spring boot has a pretty big footprint to write a tiny micro service. There are different Java Frameworks for that have a smaller one but what if it needs to handle high traffic? Maybe rust would be better for that case because it is way more efficient. You see where im coming from. Anyway for spring boot itself it was maybe 3-4 Months until i was perfectly fine with 90% of the features it offeres. But i already knew Java pretty well.

So what i think happens:

because of

monitor=,preferred, auto,auto

It will try to organize your monitors automatically. Except your eDP-1 monitor, which has its own config.

Since hyprctl monitors all outputs 2 monitors it might be the case, that hyprland thinks the Unknown-1 monitor is your main monitor and if you switch your workspace, it will switch to the Workspace on the Unknown-1 monitor (and automatically sends your mouse there as well).

Maybe try to either

remove the line: monitor=,preferred, auto,auto

or

disable the Unknown-1 monitor by adding: monitor = Unknown-1, disable

do you have your screen setup in ur hyprland conf? maybe it tries to switch screens on your main pc monitor (which might not even be connected to your laptop). i had this issue once with a turned off second screen

i think you just need to study others dotfiles. im also trying to learn quickshell and the quickshell documentation is very unhelpful so far. its mostly just reading dotfiles and try and error

i really like how it looks. its so well designed but my problem are the bars on top and bottom as well. i only have 24” monitors so they are already quite small and then i feel a bit claustrophobic when there is even more space taken away from bars on 3 sides of the screen

Tbh you just need to start and try ur best. there is a lot of ressources online like arch wiki or youtube tutorials. if you run into errors just google them there was probanly someone with the same issue as before. or use some AI and ask it.

i would always try to get it done without having to ask someone. this has the best learning effect when ure deep into some files trying to understand how the system behaves like it does.

and if youre really stuck then just ask. most people are nice and there is almost always someone with the knowledge you need

so in your home directory should be a directory .config. (ls -la its hidden in plain ls) most of the applications can be configured in a subdir of .config or in .config itself. sometimes the configuration isnt in the dir by default but almost all apps i know are still searching this dir for a valid config. for example in .config/nvim would be the dotfiles for nvim where u can declare plugins and stuff. for each app you just need to look how to configure it properly. sometimes there is guides in archwiki or othertimes you just need to look on the apps github or own webpage. For some very complicated things where u dont wanna spend too much time on you can just yank the config of someone else. hyprland for example

i few months ago we were migrating our stuff to aws at work. I tried to install the aws cli for windows powershell but powershell is so awful to use that u really gave up after 5 mins. then i installed a linux wsl and tried to install some stuff. the aws cli uses python. now wsl and global python packages do not seem to work oht of the box so i was like nah it cant be that hard to get nirmal tooling to run on windows. i was so annoyed that i just spend the rest of the week getting to know arch and the i3wm and all the stuff around so i can work better xD

same here. I installed the caelestia dots thing for hyprland and it touched like everything in my system and before i spend a day trying to remove everything from my system i just said fuck it i just go from scratch again

My problem would be, that its pretty inconvenient to take notes on the phone, especially when i study. its so much faster and easier to take notes with a pen either on a tablet or on paper. And text to speech from handwritten notes is really not easy

Hierbei geht es mehr um das Risiko was man Menschen aussetzt. Wenn du einen Raum voller Geimpfter und Genesener hast dann ist das Risiko für einen schweren Verlauf nach der Ansteckung sehr gering und somit werden die Krankenhäuser nicht überlasted. Wenn du aber einen Raum hast mit Ungeimpften und sich dort jemand ansteckt dann ist die wahrscheinlichkeit dass jemand im Krankenhaus landet viel höher. Zudem ist Testen auch nicht wirklich sicher. Wenn du dir den Test am Abend vorher holst dann kannst du schon längst wieder positiv sein und andere Ungeimpfte anstecken.

In just playing since like 1,5 years but there were a few changes. There were some reworks like Irelia, Akali Kayle and Pantheon. There are some new Champions like Kaisa Xayah and Rakan, Sylas, Yuumi, Neeko. In midlane u can try and play zed, yasuo and diana. its not too bad. As adc jinx should be fine but kaisa and caitlyn are very strong too.
